posted a message on Question about recommended specs for recording?

I made a few changes to the list, and I wanted to know what you thought? I wanted to be able to play higher end games anyways, and I thought this seemed like a good choice of upgrades. Will this still be fine with what I wanted Minecraft wise as well?

Thank you very much. I would've needed a new MOBO anyways, because it's DDR2 and has two bad ram slots. I'll look into those parts :).

I'm not sure of the brand of case, but I know it's a full sized tower

I live in West Virginia, so physical stores for parts isn't an option, so newegg or the like is preferred.

Intel core 2, sorry. But, I have a budget of maybe $400 max. I have case, hard drive, and PSU that will be fine with essentially anything.

It's high speed ram, I'm not sure exactly how fast though. Also, I am very low on money, so it would have to be minimum on the GPU. And for the editing, if any, it would be very minimal. Thanks for the link.

posted a message on Question about recommended specs for recording?

I couldn't find a more fitting section, so I decided to put this here. If a mod finds a more fitting section, feel free to move this thread :). Anyways, I wanted to maybe get back into recording Minecraft, but it's been a while since I've recorded and played, and I know a lot of things have changed. I was wondering, about what FPS would I get trying to record with my specs? I'd be interested in playing in a server with mods as well, so if you could take that into account. Thanks!

    Specs:

Intel I2 Quad 2.4 GHz Processor

    GTX 550 TI GPU

    4 GB Ram

(if I, not going to get any usable FPS or result with this, what are your recommended upgrades?)

if you need any more info, feel free to ask! I'll probably be lurking the forum for a bit ;)

posted a message on Haven't seem a thread on it so far so: Thoughts on gay marriage.
    Quote from YvonnePewPew»
If you would like to create threads of such nature, it would be best if you provide your own opinion on it as well.

To me, Gay marriage should be legal. Homosexual couples should have the same right to engage in a union with one another just like a heterosexual couple. What they do to each other is within themselves and does not affect me.

The main argument against the notion is that the legalization of gay marriage would result in an increase in homosexual behavior and individual. However, there is no valid studies, fact nor proof to support this claims. We should not withhold someone rights based on a mere possibility. Furthermore, legalization of gay marriage is not the same as allowing homosexuals to flaunt their alleged flamboyancy. If a homosexual or heterosexual person is pestering you with their sexuality, it is still considered as sexual harassment and that should not be tied with the issue of marriage in of itself.

Another is the sentiment that their is no need for legalizing gay marriage as homosexual couple can simply choose to be together and live like a couple. This is not satisfactory as the benefits of a union in marriage is thus not available to homosexual couples. Marriage is not just about being recognized as a couple in the eyes of the community, but to the society as a whole. It is of utmost importance to homosexual couples that plan to have a joint account, own a shared property, family insurance, wills and support among many other things.

I have yet to see a valid argument against gay marriage that does not involve the opinion of a celestial being, bias and facts that involved factual and proven studies.

That said, I would like to add that I am not a homosexual in the slightest and welcome any thoughts against the matter. It is through open minded debates where we could all learn and progress. :)

Edit: As for pastors being forced to hold and carry out the union, no. Everyone have to right to not be involved in any matter they do not wish to be a part of.

This is probably the best argument I have heard in quite a long time. I couldn't agree with you more. I put my opinion btw, I just kinda didn't argue my point, while I probably should have. It seems like most of the arguments I come across that are against it always involve religion. But last I checked religion isn't supposed to play a part in our laws, haha. Thank you for your input.

Title pretty much explains it. Feel free to include any argument you want. I'm personally in support of it, but I'm curious to see the variety in opinions on the forum.
IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED ITS PROBABLY A GOOD IDEA TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS THREAD!

I'll always prefer the late alpha versions of minecraft because that's when I started playing the game. I also feel like too many weird items are being added to the game that kind of dilute the minecraft experience.

I believe that with minecraft kind of being the first of its kind to gain attention, it'll last a while before it dies off. With Microsoft owning it, I'm sure they'll milk all they can out of the game.

posted a message on When did Minecraft become so.. commercialised?
Servers are not that expensive unless you want a 100+ person server. Personally, I prefer a max of around 40-50 which can really be as cheap as around $20 a month. Or if you have a spare sub par PC lying around you can just install Linux and run one for yourself.

I believe I started on around Alpha 1.2. It was around the time the nether was introduced.
