2. Do TE lead and silver still spawn together at all with COG? I flew through a bunch of caves and only found those ores separately (both set to Clusters).
Supported, on the condition that the regular version remain an option.
All you people saying $26 isn't a lot are ignorant of the fact that there are plenty of countries where people can afford a computer and internet access but can't afford to buy games that aren't sold in their local currency because of the exchange rate. Places where the cost of Minecraft would feed a large family for months.
Via Google I couldn't find any information about the biome blacklist/whitelist options in Minefactory Reloaded's common.cfg file:
RubberTrees {
# A list of biomes to disallow rubber trees to spawn in. Overrides any other biomes added.
S:Biome.Blacklist <
>
# A list of biomes to allow rubber trees to spawn in. Does nothing if rubber tree worldgen is disabled.
S:Biome.Whitelist <
>
Sludge {
# A list of biomes to allow/disallow Sludge lakes to spawn in. Does nothing if lake worldgen is disabled.
S:BiomeList <
>
Sewage {
# A list of biomes to allow/disallow Sewage lakes to spawn in. Does nothing if lake worldgen is disabled.
S:BiomeList <
>
As you can see, the comments in the file are a bit vague.
I tried listing biomes by name between the arrows, omitting spaces in their names, separating them by commas. That resulted in this occurring when Minecraft was launched:
[00:43:47] [Client thread/ERROR] [FML]: An exception occurred while loading config file common.cfg. This file will be renamed to common.cfg_20150109_004347.errored and a new config file will be generated.
[00:43:47] [Client thread/INFO] [STDERR]: [java.lang.Throwable$WrappedPrintStream:println:748]: java.lang.RuntimeException: Malformed list property "/config/powercrystals/minefactoryreloaded/common.cfg:419"
What I did find on Google was one person's common.cfg where a biome ID had been added between the arrows on its own line, like so:
S:BiomeList <
211
>
But with only one biome listed in that example, I still had questions. Comma separated? One per line? Who knows. Looking at nearby options I changed the S:BiomeList option to the following format (getting rid of the arrows entirely):
Every time I see a 1-block dent or outcrop of dirt, I remove it if it's an outcrop and fill it in if it's a dent, even if I have to grab a dirt block with which to fill it from a corner nearby or from elsewhere entirely.
If you don't bring Flint & Steel and your portal is turned off,
but you do have a bucket and wood (or another block that can catch fire from adjacent lava),
either dig out or build a one-block hole directly behind or in front of your portal
so that the bottom of the hole is level with the bottom of the portal's lowest obsidian blocks
and one side of the hole is the side of one of those obsidian blocks.
Fill the hole with lava
and place the wood/flammable block directly above the lava.
Wait a minute and it'll catch fire (unless you're playing on a server where fire spread has been disabled).
Wait another minute and the portal will reactivate.
^ Sounds like a weird and rare case, but if you're using mods that change the Flint and Steel recipe to require actual steel instead of iron and you haven't made any steel yet, it's very easy to get into this situation.
I am having trouble downloading the 1.6.4 version of the mod. I am receiving the following Dropbox error after Adf.ly:
Error (509) This account's public links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled!
This literally just means AtomicStryker's Dropbox account is temporarily disabled from serving downloads because they're receiving too much traffic. It's not an issue on your end...which is both good news and bad news. XD
From Dropbox help:
For Basic accounts, the total amount of traffic that all of your links together can generate without getting banned is 20 GB per day. For Pro and Business accounts, the limit is 200 GB per day.
If your account hits our limit, we'll send a message to the email address registered to your account. Your links will be temporarily disabled, and those who try to access them will see an error page instead of your files.
It's proving oddly difficult to find information about how long this temporary disabling lasts. Googling suggests it's three days. Since this started yesterday, the files should be available again tomorrow.

1. Does COG affect the way Dense Ores works?
2. Do TE lead and silver still spawn together at all with COG? I flew through a bunch of caves and only found those ores separately (both set to Clusters).

Shame on all of you for being so presumptuous.

That worked.
It also works that way for dimension blacklisting:
# A list of dimension IDs to disable MFR worldgen in.
I:Dimension.Blacklist=7,-1,1
If anyone who sees this thread can explain the default format, that'd be welcome. Especially if there's some reason not to use this alternate format.

Dropbox is still not back and I'd bet there are a lot more people playing 1.6.4, 1.7.2, and even 1.5.2 than there are playing 1.7.10.

A ton of people still play 1.6.4. Also, 1.6.4 is easier to work with for mod authors.

Why?
Because it's funny.
