    Another new building!

    Aaaand...the same view at sunset!

The building from another angle showing how it connects with the last building that I built:

Obviously the first floor shops aren't furnished yet, but that should change, soon?
Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!

Oh wow, these are both really nice! I'm thinking of building something like this in my small town. But yeah, I think you should use less bricks...wooden floors would be fine.

Very nice. I like the interesting and varied use of materials. Not just plain stone or wood.
    Nice work!

Thanks! It's my way of reflecting the huge variations in color and material in actual small town buildings. I'm glad you like it!

Hi everyone! My name is panacea, my ingame username is troublesbeless, and this is my attempt to build a small town.

Small towns in North America - despite having never lived in one - have always struck me as being beautiful. I love the architecture: the conjoined brick buildings, the huge bay windows, the meticulous attention to detail, are joys lost where I come from. So, when my friend introduced me to Minecraft, I immediately got to work on recreating (read: bastardizing) those buildings in actual small towns that I thought were especially beautiful. Podunk, MC isn't the actual name of the town; the current name of the town is Portarlington, but since I keep changing the name, I thought "Podunk, MC" would sum up my project quite nicely.

I'm building a waterfront, hence the line of mossy cobbles in the water.

Have you tried changing both files to a solid white color? I've found that doing so gets rid of the biome-compliant grass colors for me.
