I think many people forgot about a real simple item.. Its called a torch. On most SMP servers I visit people use torches way to sparsely. Put them all over the damned place.
Light a large distance around your place. I do it all the time... Dont have problem with any mobs in my settled areas on SMP... Grow a brain. Most of yall are building bull **** anyways. The endermen are doing a service tearing your **** apart. Who knows, they might make an improvement.
I am totaly for endermen desroying all of your constructions. Tough ****. Should have built the ceiling 2 high. If you are worried about them destroying your other buildings than light the area up.
Want to talk about useless? This game is useless. We are wasting our time building bull ****. I'm all for creeper explosions and endermen hijinks.

What is the deal with ranks? Yall get special powers or something? Trying to see if its vanilla and really survival (you only make do with what you got. Im tired of servers with operators and mods who get access to bull **** and are afraid of PVP. is pvp allowed and is TNT and firespread enabled? What difficulty level are the mobs?
Does anyone run any real SMP PVP servers? Ones where there are no rules except no hacking? I'm totaly willing to build with a group of folks and work as a faction or clan but when we PVP there needs to be an incentive, that is loot. And if the enemy loots my stuff I want to be able to loot them and I also want to be able to destroy them for looting me to discourage them trying to mess with me or who ever I'm with. Anybody still play this way? Seams everyone has turned into a wuss.
Looking for a vanilla server with anti hacking measures. I have been enjoying the hardcore darwinism sever till they increased creeper damage by something like a 1000%.
Does anyone know of any no rules vanilla servers? I am not a "griefer" but do enjoy PVP and building. I also don't have any problem with someone trying to destroy my base and enjoy having the option open to fight with each other all out like that if we should want. Or at least have TNT and firespread and all the other vanilla options enabled, preferably on a hard setting.
