    *snip*

It's just a figure of speach. Perhaps I should have said "It's not that big of a deal." Did you post your ticket in the "Ban" section? Or in "Suggestions"?

    Ban (private) section.

    How ever long it takes.

Unanswered support ticket =\= end of world

At any point have my posts indicated that my world will end if I don't get an answer? Let me answer for you. No, they haven't.

It's pointless having this discussion with you. You can't do anything about my ticket. Only the admins can and they refuse to do so. That said, I wouldn't be offended if you just stopped responding in this thread, msmit71.

And what is "reasonable time" to you?

Reasonable time for what? A ticket?

    Yep

Please don't take stone picks out of the game. Make them the same speed as stone with more durability or something. I love those things.

Only thing I use wood for is torches.

[sarcasm] Oh yes, we should not rely on our users. That makes sense. Instead we should comb through several thousand posts a day manually to look for abusive posts. That's an incrediblt time effective way to adress problems! [/sarcasm]

Seriously, even if we added 10 new moderators, Beta Survival still gets too many posts per day to be moderated in such a way, you see that, right?

No, the ticket system is not up for "show". I'm just saying that if you have an urgent problem or want to discuss specific threads (which is what I was talking about in other threads) it's the best way because of fast response and easy back and forth communication.

I have seen no proof that the ticketing system isn't up for "show". My ticket hasn't even been acknowledged for 26 days. There are tons of messages on that support site that say other peoeple are having similar issues. People on these forums are saying the same thing.

And what is "reasonable time" to you?

    What was the ticket about?

It was about biased mods...or at least inconsistant. I was banned for something that was done at least 5 times in the same thread and no one else was even warned. I want the situation investigated and at least some of my warning level removed.

Sadly the admins simply ignore all tickets. I'm pretty confident saying this due to the large number of posts on the support site (and on these forums) saying the exact same thing. Again, if you have a support site it should work. Otherwise simply take it down and stop pretending there is some kind of process in place. It's clear there is no process.

You got caught because you got reported. We simply don't have time to read through every thread a reported post is in. You could have reported all of the other posts and they would have also been warned. If you did, and think that they we'ren't delt with correctly, I'd suggest pinging a moderator or admin in IRC. Our channel is #minecraftforums on irc.esper.net
Fastest way to get in contact with us.

So...the ticket system is simply lip service? You recommend the IRC channel. You've done that in a few other posts I have noticed.

Incidently a system that relys on forum users reporting other forum users is...in a word ridiculous. It's also ripe for abuse. You have to see that, right?

If I understand your suggestion is as follows: If you feel you were wrongly banned report all the other posts in that thread (it's been 26 days remember) that you feel were also warning worthy. After that if the moderators take no action contact us via IRC for assistance?

That's ludicrous. I have a counter suggestion. Work your tickets on the support site you provide in a timely fashion. Oh, and don't rely on spiteful forums users to report other users. That's a no-brainer.

posted a message on Ban appeal tickets
Their "support" system is badly broken. I have been waiting 26 days for a simple acknowledgement.

To day: Nothing. Mine wasn't even for a ban appeal. What I want is an investigation done concerning biased/inconsistant mods. They obviously can't be bothered, however. I don't care if this site is free...if they offer a system in which you can appeal a ban or open a ticket for investigation that system should work.

It doesn't work. They can make all the excuses they want; the fact remains there is no process.

Stone torches are not providing light for me.

    1. Take off Smooth Lighting
    2. Stone torches emit light
    3. ??????
    4. Profit.

I like smooth lighting...is there a plan to fix this?

He said he was 10...which would explain the spelling.

However, the government says you can't get an email address of your own until you are 13. And don't most forums require that you are 13 to register?

Serious question: What the hell are you talking about?

I'll summarize your idea - Branch mining ruins mining....what? Why? Because people mine on levels 10-16? Explain that because I don't get it.

I personally still mine on higher levels to get iron and coal. Your topics confuse me a lot of the time man.

I think he's saying that people just ignore all the levels above 16. I know I do. I get pretty much everything I need (redstone, iron, gold, ,cobble, etc) while looking for diamond. It's like asking notch to just make the earth 16 layers deep because no on is going to use the other layers anyway. At least thats what I think he's saying...

I think he's making radom threads...that seems to be his MO.

And why point out branch mining for this thread? Not all people branch mine. Is there experience not ruined if they stay on level 10-16 because they don't? It doesn't make sense.

And GAH! I just bumped this pointless thread. *facepalm* I'm out.
