so with teh server ban thing just make it so it bans your ip not your name
Did you read any of the thread? I can change my dynamic IP within seconds by instructing my router to do so. Most DSL users also get a new IP on each connect (which is often). Or, I can use one of the MANY proxies out there to get a new IP address... not effective AT ALL for banning. -
Feb 13, 2013ozzymud posted a message on Change Your Minecraft Name? Possibly In The FutureIt is the actual the ops/admins i worry about... not all of em are nice people. I was recently reading a popular hacking forum and most of the names used for brute forcing are gathered from servers.Posted in: News
I would rather see a display name coupled with a unique id [098f2470-bae0-11cd-b579-08002b30bfeb]. The Unique Id is given from minecraft login servers and cannot be used in itself for login attempts but would be easily checked by white/blacklists.
People who use the same tag name could be given the choice at login to a server to change it. And people could also register a nick with a server like on IRC... give the server a password to prove that is your nick.
Logging in with nick Ozzymud..
Ozzymud is already in use assigning Guest10234, if the nick belongs to you /msg server Ozzymud <password>.
/msg server Ozzymud 3557et$%464
Verified! Returning your nick.
player.dat is still stored using the unque id, permissions and all that use the unique id.
UUID: There are 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 possible UUIDs -

The thing about your average wiki design (plain white background, black text, basically Wikipedia), is that it helps you focus on what you are reading, as the text has a good contrast. For forums the background is generally dark, which means it's easier to make out posts, as they are all individual (well, excluding double posts xD). The thing about a wiki with a dark background is that it doesn't seem formal. Well, I guess it's just one of those things.
Exactly... I am so glad Adblock exists, I was able to block the style sheet... back to a good old boring look so I can focus on the information.

Now I can't wait for 1.2.4

Edit: AND 1.2.5, I hate how releases come so quick... all mods don't catch up fast enough or in time.

powered rails at 8:1 = ~150
regular rails = 1200+
time spent = several irl days (gathering gold/iron/redstone)
What a waste, but at least I got the achievment?!?

I actually like the new zombies... I like opening the door for them when they knock.
They walk in, close the door behind them(pressure plate), and I'm free to kill them alone (that's on easy)
On hard, my new door is a dirt block. Or if I'm not sure of a wood door, I reinforce it with a dirt block inside the doorway.

Heh, yea, me too. Thanks, I hadn't considered the clear water from Optifine. Was driving me nuts!

Then came climbing spiders... ok, easy enough, build 3 up and 3 out (A)
Along comes endermen... ok, keep the inner roof at 2 high (or at least a portion of it)
Now we got better AI. So I now add B C & D.
B - battle holes, these are in opposite corners of my house 1 deeper then the floor. Easy enough to pick off the waiting creeper.
C - half slabs under glass. Can hit most any mob through these either with sword or bow.
D - Added glass to the spider overhang to thawrt the stupid "I'm burning" AI of skeletons and zombies.
I am 101% safe inside this primitive house. My big unsafe house has tunnels leading to this one in case I get pinned in there
The whole fun part to me has been evolving my thinking along with the game. I say go for it Notch/Jeb... bring it on, try your best to blow me up

Getting tired of listening to my replacement 13 and cat discs (Sound Mod Enabler FTW)
I've seen a video surveillance mod, this should be easy in comparison, at least for ogg files, a portable Jukebox that uses .pls or .m3u files.

he changed:
b.k = new ey("Player", "");
to basically:
b.k = new ey(getParameter("username"), "");
Just snags your username instead of setting "Player"
Nice mod Google_Fanboy

It's only exciting when exploring a cave that crosses into another biome and have something sneak up on you :tongue.gif:

[1.1, 12w07b] TooManyItems in-game invedit *Feb 17* - Minecraft Forum
The easiest way to find mods for a certain version is to search this site with google and the version in [] and the word mod... like this:
//www.google.com/search?q=site:minecraftforum.net+[12w06a" target="" data-ensure-absolute>+mod"]site:minecraftforum.net [12w06a] mod
I don't see a lot of modders bothering with 7a or 7b... they are foobar what with the no tunnels and lighting errors.
As to 12w06a there are actually a bunch of talented modders who can sift through obfuscated code :tongue.gif:
EDIT: here is something similar to SPC... [12w05b 12w06a 12w07b] Single Player Console
