Yes, coal is still not showing up in the Aug-18 64x. I haven't tried 32x.
BTW, this is my most favorite texture pack by far. Thank you for building such a wonderful look and feel to the minecraft world. Now if I can just get you to add support for the tin and copper ores from forestry, and the random gems from biomes o plenty. <grin>
Thank you for reporting this. I have found the problem. 2 ctm files with the same name :/
I'll prepare a new version that should be uploaded shortly.
And, I'll move your requests to the top of the list as a way of saying thanks!
it appears the problem had been resolved but now ( unfortunately) the coal texture is now exactly the same as the stone texture. unless is started burning trees for coal its impossible to find underground unless I start taking every stone block in sight.
Apologies, Doomdog09. I somehow missed your message.
New version on it's way.
I will probably only put the hay stack block back. Everything else has been removed because mojang added similar blocks...
What Mojang's equivalent of the Lunar Panel and Rain Detector?
(edit) okay, NOT gate with a Daylight Sensor instead of Lunar Panel.
(I still like the single block Lunar Panel idea)
But, what about the Rain Detector?
im not real tech savvy when it comes to the files and what not of the ores and all that but jimmy mentioned coal not showing up... I went to go try it for myself just to mess around see what progress has been made, and even know the texture pack is beautiful may I mention :), I stumbled apon coal... it seemed like cheating to even look at the thing because I saw the ore yes.. but the stone was x-ray like. I could see the caverns under the earth and everything.. I don't mean to be a burden and put more work on you than I should unless this issue is just focused on my performance and everyone else's is fine, that's okay but it seems odd yes?
I think that this is fixed in the latest upload.
I apologize for letting a faulty version go out.
Give the latest version a try, Doomdog09, and let me know if you still have trouble with it.
...
I guess you don't like the redpower way of giving the player simple building blocks and making design challenging. If you want to use logistic pipes or applied energetics, do so.
For me "piles of and piles of blocks like filters, sorters, retrievers, transposers, and so on" is the reason why I am having fun using it.
...
Is there a problem with the 1.5.2 coal textures? They don't seem to show up - I looked in the zip file and there are only 4 png files and 1 properties file, yet all the other CTM folders have loads of files. Is that a mistake or is there something I need to do?
Keep the good work up!
Thanks again!
Ooops! Sorry about that. I'll upload a fix later today.
Test this stone texture and switch yours to cobblestone.
Gives more congruence to your pack - I have tested more than 50 different textures (to replace your original and use it as cobblestone), and doubtless this is a perfect match.
The rights are of maxTextures and its free to use.I upload the CTM folder to http://www.mediafire...296er3oedd6w9ao
I hope you enjoy!
No thanks, _Gothmog. I know you put a lot of effort into testing this but I want to keep this pack all my own work.
(edit) But, cobblestone is still on my list for a remake at some point.
even better than before. I guess less people will use it now because Optifine got a bit better, but i think it's still nice to have the option to have the ingame options and optimizations of Optifine combined with MCPatcher's (in my opinion) better features.
This is how i configured MCPatcher (may or may not work for you):
Optifine is added as mob at the top, Extended HD and HD Font deactivated.
The order of the remaining entries is important, move them around or MC will crash (at least for me).
Now to Optifine's ingame settings:
Chunk Loading has to be default or some of MCPatcher's features won't work. I think everything else is safe to change.
Clear Water, Custom Fonts, Better Snow can be on or off.
Better Grass can be switched on either here or in MCPatcher, works both.
Everything else has to be set like shown or some unpleasant things will happen (Custom Colours applied twice etc). Mipmap and filtering may work, but AA will break some things.
With these settings it's possible to use nearly all features from MCPatcher instead of Optifine's.
Better Glass works, we get the better CTM, Custom Colours, biome/height specific mobs and block textures work etcetera...
Have you had any success using this method with 1.6.2?
I've tried but now I'm getting those purple/black blocks all over the place.

However, I'm having problems with the Connected textures not working for the stone background texture. I basically used the Stone texture for the background texture then made a new layer (using Gimp) and imported a new texture then anchored it down to make a new texture.
So, how do I make it so the stone connected textures work alongside all the textures you have done.
...
The way I've done the connected textures for all the minecraft ores is very memory hungry.
They all use 255 tiles each.
I started running into memory problems when I started doing mod ores the same way.
I'd rather that Battered users didn't have to worry about tweaking memory settings to run the pack.
Ideally, I'd use MCPatcher's renderpass option to overlay the ores onto the standard stone textures.
Unfortunately, this makes the ores invisible if they are under water.
Also, particle effects render behind the ore overlay which looks weird.
I don't know if there is a way around this.
Here's the IC2 textures I'm using at the moment. They need a little tweaking.
They don't tile perfectly with the stone textures, either. But, it's bearable.
Try them out and see what you reckon.
