Hi guys, Vechs here! I started making custom stuff for Minecraft back in 2010, and the Super Hostile series is my best-known contribution to Minecraft fans everywhere!
The main objective of my maps (aka custom Minecraft worlds) is to find and complete the Victory Monument. This is a structure with slots on it for blocks. To win a Super Hostile map, you must place each of the requested blocks in the appropriate slot on the Victory Monument. There are 16 colors of wool blocks to find, and also in older maps, the 3 material blocks, of iron, gold, and diamond.
CTM stands for Complete the Monument, which is the genre my Super Hostile series created. Unlike Adventure maps, which typically have very rigid rules and restrictions, CTM maps are about playing Minecraft in a mostly normal fashion, but with a goal to work towards.
For the most part, Super Hostile is like playing Minecraft normally, but it's more difficult and you have a long-term goal to work towards. Also you may find yourself in some unusual terrain. Oh, and the map is designed to kill you, so keep that in mind.
Going forward, Super Hostile maps made after 2020 now also require a custom modpack, which can be found here:

And lastly, here is a bunch of legal stuff. The short version is: feel free to make videos about my maps, watching people play helps me make better maps; please don't rip-off my work and claim it as your own; and please don't upload my work to other websites.
Users are free (and encouraged) to create videos of the MAPS and share the videos online, using websites such as YouTube. Users are also free to include advertisements and monetize their videos of my maps. Watching people play my maps is by far the best way for me to learn how to make better maps. If you have made video's or LP's (Let's Play series) of my maps, then thank you very much!

UT3 was great, one of the best maps I've played in a while, heres the victory screenshot.
Red and orange wool were my favorite in the map, my two least favorite areas were green aesthetically and the spider web area gameplay wise (forget which wool it was), both were still good areas, just not up to par with the rest of the map imo. I'm really excited for UT4 and i have faith it will be just as good if not better than 3.

(Gonna post more later, thread still under construction)
In
a quest for power, you find yourself at the infested ruins of an
extinct civilization, your mind is telling you to leave, but you cant
shake the feeling that you belong here
'Evils narcotic cyclopean pits, In dark babelian towers await, Lie dreaming until the time will awake'
1.9 Pre4+: Download
Spindle caves 2, A mini-ctm involving grinding to get new items, and some wool, spider themed, and will be only one area
The Dark World 3, DW2 has had it's time, and i think I'm ready for a remake, a very easy map, meant for noobs and casual players, but will still prove a fun experience for veterans
Arcane Asylum 2, A remake of an older map which sucked, will involve some large areas, and make use of some new mechanics
Two Swords Trilogy Map 2, it will feel and play a lot like TOTS, but will have completely different areas, and most likely be all around better
Here's a list of some of my favorite maps/series, if you liked my map, or are just eager to play something new, check these out:

I didn't really compare it to many other reviews, I just compared it to the other CTM maps I've played, and having a very aggressive play style, there were some areas I got 0 deaths and some areas i had around 10-15, so I thought the difficulty was overall pretty average. maybe we could make an adjusted key on the front, with 1-10 matched with different maps of that difficulty to make it easier for people like me who haven't played or reviewed a CTM map in in a very long time. (IDK if this has been tried before, or if its practical, just throwing ideas out there). It's just difficult to really rate these considering some were made for certain play-styles, and in others its more beneficial to use another, and the ratings themselves are subjective anyway without a distinct key, some people hold a 7 as average and others say its a 5.

-Legends Of Argon (1.8)
Difficulty: On average 5, some parts higher, some parts lower
Overall Enjoyment: 8
Comments: Legends of Argon is a linear branching floating island based CTM map created by Draco Rogue. The map involves 16 wool, 3 material blocks, and a bonus emerald block.
Pros:
Every single area looked fresh and beautiful. The way Draco changed up the gameplay with custom mobs, and command blocks was usually fantastic, the custom weapon system always kept me wondering what would be in the next chest, and the level design was repetitive at times, but almost always captivating. the map had a great progression system, and even at the black wool I was finding items that would help me out. The custom potions were useful, and granted bonuses specifically designed for the area, so in an area where the enemies were fast there would be speed potions and knockback items. My favorite areas were the brown and red wool, both areas looks great, but the thing i found most appealing was the gameplay, in the red wool, i had to fight my way through a bridge full of blazes, navigate through a series of floating islands, with custom wither skeletons and charged creepers trying to fight me off the edges, and scale towers full of custom aggro pigmen with chargers blowing holes in the tower so that the ghasts outside could bombard me as well. The brown wool put me up against "Hybran worshipers" and speed boost creepers, these would hunt me down and never give me a break from the action.
Cons:
The biggest con i saw in the map was the black wool, the boss fight at the end was very sloppy, while my computer can handle the ragecraft 3 boss fights with almost no problem, I was getting a steady, and almost unplayable 10fps the entire fight, not to mention the fact that a new boss spawned every minute even though it was heavily implied there would only be 1, I wasn't able to complete the fight, and gave up after dying from being cornered by five giant magma cubes and a ridiculous amount of skeletons, I would've preferred to just have a wool box where the boss fight teleporter was, and not have to end the map on such a bad note.SCORE

I'm not sure how active the topic is, considering the date of the last post, but i just wanted to report a small bug, I found this weapon called the vigorous longsword, and it looked pretty great, so i used it in my main hand for the entire first half of the black wool, and every enemy took a lot of hits to kill, so i just thought you boosted their health stat, but it turns out the weapon doesn't have an attack damage stat, and i was using a weapon with 0 attack damage the entire time, you might want to fix it, I'm not sure exactly which chest it was in but I'm sure it was in one of the last two areas.

Worked a while on pretty much redoing an old area that i hated, here's a screenshot of it now:

My map is called Burning Caverns, you have to find two blocks, a white wool block and a craftable emerald block, it contains two areas, both are really similar and small(i hope this isn't breaking the rules too much), and i put it together in around in hour, hope you all like it, its fairly difficult
