Hey Baked, just checking in on the server. Could i join the mapping thing thats going on in march? Also I just wanted to say that i have recently released a new CTM and it would be cool to see it on the next poll, I've gotten amazing feedback on it already. Thanks, I am less busy lately so expect to see alot more of me on the server.
I like how the maps turning out, I just feel like you're overdoing block variation a bit. The colors clash a lot in many of the pictures, I tend to enjoy simpler aesthetics and a combination that blends very well. I think the map will turn out good, both gameplay and aesthetically but for the next map I recommend making it much more simple aesthetic wise. I cant wait to review the full map though.
This post made me really nostalgic. I remember Helium talking about a VFII speedrun route that he'd planned, but he never posted a video of it because he thought people would be angry at him for playing such an old map. And now he's gone...
I don't have a build team, I really just make the maps myself if you would like to make an area that would be fine. I can give you credit for it, but I really just want to make the majority of the map myself.
Hello, I decided to try out to create an area for the first time in 6 months, any tips or what ever if you have any please tell me, so far I think it's pretty good but can be improved on.
And don't complain about the damn amazing and beautiful spikes, haha! http://imgur.com/A79...Mq4Hr,qFVKUw1#0
Please don't overuse the spikes again, i recommend using them in a max of three areas. Also the terrain looks very annoying to walk through, a simple smooth tool would fix that. I know it looks nice but its Gameplay first aesthetics second. I really like the area though, much better than the terrain I've seen you make in the past. The blocks in the wall look fantastic.
edit based on new pic:The jungle looks far too vibrant and contrasts too much, I suggest checking out a forest or extreme hills biome. The sand looks really nice though.
Threads been kinda deadish lately, I'll try to bring it back with a screenie and a community question:
Comm Question:
Do you guys like themed intersection like in TGP or do you prefer a variety of areas and ideas as in UT2.
I personally like the idea of using a variety of areas ideas.

Its straight forward from the start, and in a quartz pillar.

Look farther into deathbloom mines, also the entire series is going to have large areas, I'm not going to reduce them in size.
