Hey guys, sorry for my inactivity recently, I would love to be more active, but I don't really have the time. You can still expect me to Map but you won't see much of me on the thread, I would love if a mod could pm me if we ever review my map, or have any serious questions for me. Anyways guys, you all are awesome and you are all great and I'll miss all of you (even drago :P).
Settle down guys, we haven't had a big argument in a long time and i hope to keep it that way. Block expressed his opinions harshly and sylf overreacted a bit, its not a big deal, its maps for a video game for gods sake, no need to take things so seriously.
@Grubbid The obsidian on the floor is a placeholder and will be replaced with something else later but the actual building is made of black stained clay and I think those two contrast nicely...
Also, finito!!
In the picture you used 13 different blocks in one small room, dont you think you're overdoing things a little bit? The structure is nice though but there is way too much contrast. Also the sandstone and lava look REALLY out of place.
I honestly think people look up way too much at Vechs. Certain people just give him tons of credit and others say that he's "the best mapmaker ever". Yes his thread is the most popular one and yes he does have the most maps released and yes he is the most experienced and yes he did invent the genre, but these things aren't what make a mapmaker good. In general, I think people applaud and praise Vechs too much.
Are you saying I'm not the only one who does that? D:
But back to the topic...
Recently I have seen quite a number of posts excessively crediting Vechs (Vechs, for inventing the CTM genre; Vechs, for inspiration; Vechs...) as well as people that saunter up to threads like Skeeto's and say stuff like "u suk u no keredit vaks". Community Question: Do you see the need to overcredit Vechs, or would you leave him out of the credits section?
I would only credit him if he directly helped with the map, or REALLY supported you in the creation.
I can't believe that Orchard recommended Ragecraft haha- VO was rejected because of its difficulty; those Ragecraft maps are far harder haha! Dusty I recommend you try playing one of the maps on the OP which hasn't received a review yet
Yeah. Having actually checked out said map, I think I decided to nope it for a bit. I haven't played minecraft in several months, and do prefer to start out dying to easier things, like water, or pigs.
Ragecraft, and pantheon are very good maps if you haven't played minecraft in a while.

I did the same thing with TOTS, I really believe when people test one intersection at a time they tend to give more and better feedback.

Haha I saw the same thing 3 months ago, I posted it here. LOL
