I've been using MBA for a long time with good success. Tonight I managed to somehow lose track of a saved game that I know is in there somewhere.
I had my main game called "First World", and started a second game called "July World". In the "July World" game, I accidentally ran my diamond-armored horse off a cliff into a puddle of lava, and really wanted to recover from a backup.
When I went to restore from a previous backup, I restored to the name 'First World", and found that the "July World" game was not also restored when I re-launched the game and chose the save to play. It seems that it was only really bcking up one save in the game, not all of them.
I know it is somewhere in my backups, but how do I restore my "July World" save from the zip file it created from earlier today?
Each time you do a backup you choose which world you want to backup, I have not implemented a backup for multiple worlds at once.
Well, it's been months and months, and it doesn't look like anyone is ever going to release a windows/mac version of c10t compatible with anvil. Are you considering switching map programs, or are you planning to stick with c10t and hope for the best:)?
Can you recommend a new mapping program? It has to be able to work through the command line.
I'm sorry, but everything you suggest is irrelevant to me, as these are minor problems. (everything in my computer is updated)
Are there any fixes to the game itself?
In the last year I've been getting really low performance in Minecraft.
My specs:
4GB RAM
HD4890 1GB
Intel Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
Windows 7 64bit
I can run other games much better than I run Minecraft. when turning all graphics options off, I get around 120 FPS but with a lagspike every 2 seconds.
On the highest graphics I'm getting around 20-30 FPS with occasional lagspikes.
I tried going through things in the speed guide, but most of them aren't related to me.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
This probably means that your backup file is corrupted.
if (File.Exists(mapperTempPath))
{
ZipFile zf = ZipFile.Read(destFolder + ".zip");
the File.Exists always returns false when the argument is a path.
Instead changethe 'if' and its contens to:
if (File.Exists(pngTempPath))
{
ZipFile zf = ZipFile.Read(destFolder + ".zip");
zf.AddFile(pngTempPath, "\\");
zf.Save();
File.Delete(pngTempPath);
}
else
'just the old code)
4. Fails to detect if map is done
Just before you try to add the map to the zip file you do this check:
if (mapperThread != null && mapperThread.IsAlive && BI.ShouldMap)
It does not make sense to check if the thread is alive, if it is the map is not generated yet, instead, check if it is alive, and wait like 1 second, and continue until the thread is not alive, then add the map.
Like:
while (BI.ShouldMap && mapperThread.IsAlive)
{
Thread.Sleep(1000);
}
if (mapperThread != null && BI.ShouldMap)
{
MessageOutput("Creating Mapper image... (this can take a while depending on your world's size)");
With these few changes, the program backups the first time without crashing, add's and deletes the map temp file to the zip file, and even compresses it.
I tried to connect to codeplex, but it seems i don't have permission to upload patches.
If you give me permission, i'll gladly upload the fixes and help on the project.

Yes, it will be compatible until Mojang will change the folder structure of the saves.

Thank you, I'm glad that people are helping me with the project. I'll update it tomorrow.

The ZIP file isn't compressed since in the past it almost didn't do any change to the files size, and it was faster this way.
Are you sure you can't upload patches?

Thanks for your help, Omer.
