This is a wonderful mod, one of the best out there. But, there is one thing you need to fix, and it is the zephyr's (I think that's what they're called? The snowball shooting things?). They can sometimes be so annoying they just ruin the experience.

Change the port, refoward that new port, also make sure you have a static IP adress if you don't... :smile.gif:

How do I change the port? And also, how do I get a static IP?

I have a personal server, using the simple version of the beta server software. It's all updated and everything. But no one (including me) can log on to the server, all it does it says "Connection timed out: connect". I've looked around in these forums, and found plenty of things talking about the connection timing out, but all the solutions mentioned on those haven't worked for me. The general consensus is that minecraft.net is down, but I've checked, and its not. I can also log onto other peoples servers, so theres no problem there. Theres not problem with the server log either, all the messages are the same as normal (I've had the server since beta 1.4 or so). I've restarted my computer, I've waited overnight, I've re downloaded the server software, I've tried another map, and it still doesnt work. So basically I'm just really confused.

Note: I have tried to log on with both localhost and my internal ip, and I can log on fine. I don't know if another player using my internal ip would work, but I dont think it does? And also, that bar on the top left of the server log stays around 35-40%, if that means anything.

If your trying to connect outside your houses' internet, you will need to open your ports, which I have no idea how to do. Sorry!

I've already forwarded the port. It's been working properly for weeks, so that must not be it
    Thanks anyway :smile.gif:

posted a message on [WIP]Pixelmon(An Awesome Pokemon Mod)[WIP]
Sorry I'm not a coder or artist, but I would just like to add a couple of suggestions for this mod. It sounds like a mod I'll be downloading on release :smile.gif:-
-This mod is going to be awesome if you pull it off, but I wouldn't recommend doing it all at once. Maybe do only some of the 1st gen pokemon to start with. Pokemon centres and marts sound like a REALLY good idea.
    - As for the mobs, I would think that coding in trainers would be quite hard? If not, then by all means do it, but just a thought that you should leave it to last. Maybe release the mod, and then add it later?
    - Maybe you could incorporate, in the future, some sort of legendary encounter system? Like, you will find a doorway in the terrain, that leads to a legendary pokemon? Just a thought, if you could do it.

But overall, you don't have to listen to me, just do what you can do :smile.gif:. I'll still support this when it comes out.

Where do you draw the line? You could make the game more 'extreme' by changing any number of arbitrary factors.

Of course, but to change a few elements of the game, like food, it would still add a lot of fun to the people who have been playing minecraft for a while. I'm not saying change things like, say, walking (eventually run out of energy and just can't walk anymore). Thats way too much. I would say draw the line at things that won't make you die every mine-day, but would make every day a challenge for survival

What I mean to say is that we could sit here all day suggesting this or that difficulty tweak to no real end. Most of your suggestions thus far seem reasonable, I think. However, I think it's confirmed (it's certainly been hinted at more than enough times) that in future there will be some sort of realism mode, and/or difficulty sliders, which should cover what you want.

In short, pretty sure this is already on the cards. Sit tight.

I wasn't actually aware there would be an update like that. Thanks for clearing that up :smile.gif:

posted a message on "Extreme" difficulty?
I've actually got this idea from Fallout:New Vegas. Basically, I think that Minecraft is lacking in any sort of "different playthrough."
Basically, what I'm suggesting is the extreme difficulty, similar to the Hardcore Mode in Vegas. At the moment, the only difference between easy, medium, and hard is the amount of damage you take. This seems to be getting a bit "same old same old" (God, I'm using quotation marks quite a lot aren't I :tongue.gif:). These are my suggestions for an Extreme Difficulty-

1.Same amount of damage as Hard, or maybe even half a heart more or so
    2. Beds don't work
    3. More hostile mobs spawn
    4. Less pigs spawn.
    5. As well as your health bar, you have a hunger bar. You need to eat basically. If you don't, and the bar gets to zero, then your health will slowly go down (much slower than, say, drowning)
    6. Torches must be relit every once in a while (not THAT often though, otherwise it would make the game simply annoying)
    7. Hostile mobs can see you from farther away.
    8. Once switching to extreme, you must play on that difficulty until dawn the next morning

Any other suggestions for what extreme could offer, leave them below, and if you like the idea, also comment.

Hopefully I posted this right, never posted on the forums before

I think the worst part about this post is the fact that lightning comes before thunder.

Lightning DOES come before thunder, as light travels faster than sound

I'm having trouble with the options? I cant seem to change some of them, such as horse easy breeding (what does that do by the way), and the chance of a pegasus. And, why do squids keep spawning, even after I've turned the option off, and no dolphins/sharks spawn?

When I put the file into TFC's mod manager, it comes up with a little red exclamation mark next to the name of the mod. I press Finish Modding, and it does that, but then theres absolutely no change- theres none of the creatures. Help please??
