Jan 27, 2014Hello,Posted in: Resource Pack Help
Today I tried to COMPILE, not make, a resource pack. By compile I mean drag some files from a few of my friends packs to try and make my own. However, when I try to open it, it comes up as the default pack. I have no clue what I did wrong! At first I had the .ds_store files and it didn't work. When I deleted those files, it still doesn't work. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Before I sell my acer t232hl monitor and gigabyte jd 7870, I just want to know how much they are approximately worth, both lightly used. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Also, since I am not looking for a touchscreen monitor, any suggestions for a new one is awesome. Same with a better video card, ~$200. Thanks!
This is my current build- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1cfa4

I recently completed building my computer, and it is great. However, despite the 200 fps I usually get, fraps drops me down to 60 fps while dxtory has large files. Are there any good screen recorders (good quality) that drop the fps very little and have small file sizes?
Let me know!

I've had my computer built for about 4/5 months now. From the start it has always had a few problems, as it was my first build ever. However, in the past 2-3 months it will constantly crash. I believe this is due to bad RAM, but I want to be entirely sure before I go out and buy new RAM. Here are the two crash errors I get mainly.
Keep in mind, these crashes are not once a day. They are more like once every 20 minutes to 2 hours. It has gotten so frustrating to the point where I stopped using it in general until I can fix it.
Extra Info - Other programs constantly crash, such as google chrome (aw snap, something went wrong...), and minecraft often crashes as well.
Things I've tried - Removing one stick of ram (temporarily worked.) Switching the slot I put the RAM in (temporarily worked as well.)
If you can give me any advice as to what the problem is, it will be greatly appreciated.

A few days ago I decided I would try to play FTB again. It didn't work, so I figured the problem was that I didn't have a 1.5.2 version installed. I proceeded to install one, and tried FTB, but it still didn't work. I gave up on FTB for the time being, and decided to play 1.6 again (this was before 1.7 was out, but even with it out I still can't open it) and when I double clicked the Minecraft icon, nothing happened. The launcher does not even open. I tried deleting the minecraft folder, and opening it but still no result. Any help is EXTREMELY appreciated.
FYI I am on a mac, if that makes a difference.
Sep 15, 2013Hi guys,Posted in: Hardware & Software Support
Today I tried to use my 2-3 year old dell vostro and when I turn it on it gets stuck on the loading screen. It does not bring me to the place where I can login, and I just have to turn it off. I assume it is something wrong with the hard drive, but I need to know what I can do to fix it.
Any help is greatly appreciated,

I was just wondering how many FPS I will get with this build playing minecraft on semi-high to max settings.

Also, will I need a CPU cooler? The CPU came with a fan, although it is quite small. I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, just not sure if it is necessary to put it on.
