Jan 30, 2015Hello Everybody,Posted in: Show Your Creation
I am in the process of creating the worlds of Destiny into the Minecraft universe. I have spent hundreds of hours creating a near-perfect replica of the tower hub and am now starting the process of creating the city and playable areas from other worlds. I plan to open this up as a server that anybody can join and leave at anytime, and I will play the role of the vendors and other non-playable characters around the tower. I have a pretty good system in mind using the host teleportation and other privileges to make the server run smoothly. I am always looking for anybody who would like to help build and will give credit where it is due. I also appreciate any feedback or constructive criticism, so please let me know the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks!

Dec 22, 2014I think you have misunderstood my original view. I am wanting the slider IN GAME... but I was saying to avoid monsters/exploit it is just as easy to change difficulty either way. It is just as easy, just much more time consuming! I probably wasn't very clear on that last post, but make sure you read my ORIGINAL post as this is my thread and your post is the exact same feelings that I have lol...Posted in: MCXONE: Suggestions

perhaps a creative mode "safe zone banner" would be more effective. and can only be set up while in creative.
Nightwalker explained in a post below as well, that regardless of whether is it in game or not- it is just as easy for someone to exit the game when in danger, switch to peaceful, then come back. This just takes the hassle out of doing it. People are going to do that regardless lol.
Nov 20, 2014I took a look at it! Its pretty close, but only relative to the world size. If I was to make the to-scale imperial city from the game again, I know it would take almost the entire bay area in this map. But it is still a great starting point (:Posted in: Minecraft: Editions Seeds
Nov 13, 2014I have a proposal for a function in-game to switch between difficulties.Posted in: MCXONE: Suggestions
Current Issues when switching difficulty:
- We have to go back to the main menu
- Everyone is kicked from the game
- Some enemies and mobs spawn/despawn when the game is exited and reloaded
- Everybody must rejoin the game after the switch
- Chunks may need to reload for players
- Players may not be in a suitable environment for the reload and be immediately attacked
- In RPG worlds, the setting could be set to peaceful when entering towns. This would eliminate the need for excessive lighting and make a town actually feel like a safe zone.
- When in a pinch, a player could switch to a lower difficulty ensuring survival.
- In Creative, it would be much easier to see where monsters spawn when building maps and to see where lighting is needed.
- Prevents players from leaving and joining multiple times and smoother experience.
I am open to any opinions, criticism, and questions. If anybody knows if this would be too hard or if it would be a simple fix, that would be appreciated also, as I have no idea if I should keep my hopes up for this type of option. My gamertag is oi NOBLE io if anyone would like to add me also. Playing lots of MC, Destiny, CoD, and the Master Chief Collection (:
Nov 5, 2014oI_NOBLE_Io posted a message on Suggestions for Biome Placement, Map Blending seen in PC/Mac MC, and Option to Limit Unwanted Biomeslakelui, I agree with you completely. I feel like moving the ocean level down would allow for more build space also, whereas the spot it is at now restricts the space between base level and the clouds.Posted in: MCXONE: Suggestions
Oct 27, 2014First of all, I like your build (:Posted in: MCX360: Show Your Creation
Secondly, I don't believe it looks like too much glowstone. Go on Google and type in the name of any city at night-time, and you will see how many lights are really in a city that you don't notice. If you aren't planning on playing on anything but peaceful, don't be afraid to space the lighting more and leave some dark areas even. Personally, I think it looks okay as it is (I would maybe just space them out a little more)
Thirdly, a nice lighting tip: Lighting will go through most transparent blocks. I personally like to place a leaf block in the ground, with a leaf block above it and a glowstone below it. The lighting looks nice coming from the bushes like they are on display, and the glowstone is well hidden.
Oct 19, 2014Oh wow that really sucks! I'm sorry to hear that dude. I've been pondering whether to try and make the island set from the game and try making everything to scale... but not sure yet because I may need help with it.Posted in: Show Your Creation
