Can you put a shulker box into another shulker box?

No. They can be put in chests and ender chests, but not into themselves.

posted a message on Vindicator you have got it all wrong

It's a left-handed Vindicator. They still attack with their right hand though despite the axe being in their off hand.

That was fixed in the most recent snapshot.
Only there's a new bug that shield disabling actually locks it into blocking position.... So still an issue I guess.

Still no axe for me, hmm. The shield disabling issue has actually been around forever now, it was even broken when 1.9 released.

Comically, there's actually a bug right now where naturally spawned Vindicators don't hold axes. They must have forgotten to give natural spawned ones an axe in their equip slot.

So right now naturally spawned ones beat you down with their fist.

Now to make them stronger against bows...

It's a melee mob so naturally bows will destroy them. Only advantage they have is their speed and when they come in numbers.

Latest snapshot actually made it so that the axe they hold is no longer cosmetic.

As a result, they hit you for 9.5 hearts on hard mode now. If you wear diamond armor, they'll easily kill you with 3 hits, and iron armor just doesn't do anything at all. They also disable your shield 100% of the time they hit.

    Good luck.

(Probably the only decent melee mob in the game.)

Umm not really. See because their trades change and their color which is actually very useful for map making. Also the cartographer is pretty sweet because he can give you maps that lead you to monuments and temples, before you had to find them on your own. So you can say that any villager is not exciting because it is based off the same model but they are different. #StopStereotypingVillagers

My point was they're not a different mob. This is like saying each different colored horse or rabbit is a different mob. They have the same ID, and are all spawned by the same egg.

I don't think that's so funny coming from a professional video game company worth a few billions. It looks like a structure stuffed in by a mod "just for fun", doesn't look like a consistent, professional design. I mean, look at the village and at the mansion, it's like they are from a whole other game.

One is a dungeon and one is a town with friendly NPC's, of course they look different.

Regardless, both of them were made by the same person, and obviously Jeb's improved building skills and use of structure blocks will cause some differences compared to the NPC villages designed about 6 years ago.

Typing "Llama in desert" or "desert llama" into google images and picking the first picture doesn't really prove that Llamas are native to deserts.

If you do research you'll find llamas thrive in high elevation. They are not like camels despite being related.

Llamas should also be able to spawn in Deserts, because Llamas live in deserts IRL (in real life), thus adding a desert-like Llama.

I think you're confusing Llamas with camels. Llama live in mountainous areas typically, usually the Andes mountains. Spawning in Extreme Hills makes sense.

Technically, there are 7 new mobs which are: Vindicator, Evoker, Vex, Llama, Baby Llama, NitWit Villager, and Cartographer Villager. A lot of mobs for a small update!

The villagers don't really count. They're the same mob but different data to determine their color or profession.

Actually I don't think xp farms would works in even a 4x4 space with the push mechanics. I guess someone will find a way XD

Mine work just fine. Just use the sword's sweep attack to kill them across a 3 space gap.

If there is one thing I disagree with it's the fact mobs now take damage when compacted together. No more mob cannons, XP farms, cavespider explosions, and so on. I mean, sure there is a gamerule for it, but I feel like cheating if I have to use it to bypass it like the old way in my survival worlds.

XP farms are fine, just don't cram the mobs in a 1x1 space.

Well, you still have to worry about the vexes and fang attacks the evokers summon/do. Evokers also have a pretty good amount of health and are hard to defeat without good armor and weapons. It can be considered a mini-boss just as the elder guardian can be considered a mini-boss. You can just slap a evokers in creative mode, but it's not that easy in survival. And my other points still stand.

    No support.

Vexes barely land their attacks because they move too fast and do pitiful damage when they do hit you, so they're not really an issue. The difficulty of the mansion is a joke, it can easily be beaten with iron gear, just like about everything else in this game.

You know, the evokers in the mansions that summon the vexes are pretty much mini bosses, right? Just like elder guardians in ocean monuments. Adding another mini boss based off of a villager/illager in a structure that already has one would be redundant. And you need to go into more detail here. What does this totem of immortality do. Sounds like you will never die again, which is OP. How is it stronger than the totem of undying? Also, the boss itself is pretty OP. It can summon freaking dragon fireballs (which would be a redundant attack) and has 150 hp!

No support. Very redundant and pretty OP.

Considering you just walk up to the Evokers and smack them a few times with a sword and they die instantly, I would hardly call them even a mini-boss.
