You go Mojang.
Take as much time as you need. Quash them bugs, and don't give into any kind of pressure to release the next update untill you are sure it's ready. <3

If so can anyone comment on how their experience has been? -

In seriousness though, this mode seems like it could be fun. - To post a comment, please login.

That looks really nice! I don't think I can use it though, as I'm using in older MC version. (Pre-1.5 doesn;t seem to be supported my many anymore.)
Broken Anachronism is wonderful, but I can't find an old enough version of it either. Mythos is very good on it's own, and I found a version I can use, though it doesn't quite match what I'm after.
I'm not sure how to explain it myself, but Myst and Riven do have a certain look about them for me that easily let's me identify them. Mostly it would be in the warmth of the overall color, and things like turning the cloth blocks into mechanical vanity type ones. Like I said, I;m not quite sure how to explain it.
Something that looks like it would fit in the games universe, not necessarily something that looks exactly like any of the games.

The few I've found have not been of very good quality. I'm basically looking for something to emulate the style of Myst/Riven. Dark colors, lots of contraptions, half mechanical half natural kind of feel.
The two I've found that are closest are Derivation and Glimmars Steampunk, and while very nice and close to what I'm after, aren't quite perfect.
Are there any others the community knows of that might fit this description? If not, I'm content with the former two, just thought it'd be best to plumb the community's knowledge a bit. ^^
Thanks!

May seem like a small insubstantial thing, but the enhanced freedom of customization and creativity is something I'l always support.
I'm sure this is going to rub texture makers the wrong way though.

I'm pretty sure you can get most of those listen from the vanilla game and mods.

Thank you very much!
This looks to be about as close as I feel I'm going to get to what I'm looking for.

Thank you for the response.
I'm aware there are a few packs that are compatible, but none of them are ones I really have interest in using unfortunately.

I've had Biomes a Plenty for sometime, but this very issue has started to bother me so I'm hoping to upgrade to something a little less of an eyesore. : ]
I've seen BicBiome Craft and Extra Biomes XL but they don't say if they use the default textures.
It also needs to be 1.4.7 compatible.

If you enjoy Overkill, you may like Havok, Exodus(Early stuff, anything with Baloff or Zetro), and Municipal Waste
For Slayer, you may enjoy Warbringer and Torture Squad
I've always found Bonded By Bloods first album to be rather similar riff-wise to Megadeth.

How did you manage to dress yourself this morning?

I know he'd been out of commission for something on the order of a few years now from a spider bite on his hand, and Arya and King were saying they weren't sure when he'd be able to come back.
Then he just passes from liver failure.
