posted a message on Starting server without jumping into shell (Ubuntu, Linux)

    Context:

I am currently hosting a Minecraft server on my PC. I have 2 users on this PC. I have configured my repository so that my primary user, P, can read, write, or execute anything in the Minecraft repository. Additionally, my secondary user, S, can not read, or write, but can execute anything in the repository. This is my intended permissions set.

I want my both users to be able to start the server, but I don't want to give my secondary user any administrative permissions. However, when a user starts the server, it jumps them into the Minecraft server shell, where the user who started the server can change any in-game settings they wish.

    So here's my question:

Is it possible to configure my environment, so that my second user can start the server, without jumping into the server shell?

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated :)
