I'm not saying no, but the current goal is updating the existing mod to 1.5.2 & 1.6.x, once that is done maybe I'll see about extending it. I think I'm about 75% of the way to a pretty functional 1.5.2 release, then I'll see about 1.6.x; after that, should I decide to expand it, and your still interested we'll have a talk ;)

You know, another good idea would be to start a Patreon account. Then people can donate money and you can set a goal (i.e. X amount of money for another update to CreepyPastaCraft, Y amount for SecureCraftProtect).

IDK, do you really think folks will donate? I'm not sure how many folks use CPC/SCP, but it sure would be nice if they'd donate $1/month, lol. $12/yr on their end and maybe a decentish amount on my side, enough to be able to pop out updates fast for you folks :)
But then again I may as well wish I win the lotto XD

If you don't want to try your hand at programming, you can always try MCreator

Bah. MCreator can only create cookie-cutter mods, and doesn't teach you anything in the process. May as well learn the right way from the start :)

this is good Microsoft will make changes to the Eula that are less strict

I'm sorry, what? Have you ever read an M$ EULA? Strict is their middle name. And the current EULA is not strict at all, except on those pay2win douche servers.

I hope there will never be a Minecraft 2, because that would mean the end of the Java version of Minecraft, and modding would go with it.

But there's one thing they should do, they should crack down on all those who hide their mods behidn adf.ly links and should forbid the usage of such shady ad linking sites.

Congratulations, you're against supporting the main forge dev, who subsides entirely on the profits of those links. Modding would go with that.

To be honest who would turn down 2.5 billion just for a game? :I

*Game company. Probably no one, but they would hopefully have the decency to not bull around and be real about it, because at that price it can't not be about the money.

How do you know this developer won't sell out?

What makes this game better than Minecraft, other than it being developed by a different company?

How can you justify your attempt to damage this game by drawing people away from it when there are no signs of damage done to the game by the new company?

all good points, but I'd like to say its a bit harder for an opensource product to sell out, as one can simply fork it and continue. Very hard to `sell' public domain code. Personally I'm just waiting to see how M$ handles the modding community, if they screw us, I'm outies.

This community's really flipping out. A lot of are you are even quitting Minecraft over this?

Microsoft is a pretty brilliant company, they're not idiots. They know Minecraft is good because of it's community, if they want to make any money, they need to keep that community happy. They acknowledge that. Microsoft will likely release some kind of DLC for Microsoft products, but I don't really think of that as a bad thing. Microsoft isn't planning to change much right now.

With Microsoft in command, this could be a new age for Minecraft and Mojang. Microsoft has the resources to supply us with practically no bugs and more frequent updates. Personally, I'm happy with this new deal made, though I am sad for Notch and the founders leaving, Microsoft is very fit to handle Mojang.

Yes, because no microsoft product is plagued by bugs and bad code (I'm looking at you, windows. 260 character limit on paths lengths and frequent BSODs, yeah, real bug free) or won't release crappy products designed to break and be rebought (360 red ring of death, you know what I'm talking about). The worst part of this, is notch promised to opensource/public domain the game when he got tired of it. This will never happen under M$. Saying its not about the money is just bull, it can't not be about the money at a price of $2.5 billion. Were I to sell something like minecraft/mojang for that price, I'd at least be real about it because, hell yeah it would be about the money.

    News!
So, Lemme lay it all out there. I'm currently between jobs and having difficulty securing a new one (steady or otherwise), so I really don't have the luxury of continuing modding for a hobby, so let me ask you all something, fans of the mod, all 20k downloaders or so. Would it be entirely out of the question to request a donation from all of you? Even something as small as $1 a piece would greatly assist me financially, if for no other reason than the sheer bulk of people downloading. Heck even a quarter a pop comes to a considerable sum, well enough to pay off this months bills, food expenses, and chip away at my student loans a bit.

So, I'm asking, a cri de coeur if you will, if you love this mod and want to see it continued, please help me out <3

Donations to TeamFear contribute to the TeamFear Website, mod development, and day to day expenses. However, please note that donations made using this PayPal Donate Button will not provide any in-game benefits

I got myself a website with a blog and forum, still in the works, but rest assured, I'll have something very nice in the future. Currently it hosts my wordpress blog (all 1 posts!) and will serve as a maven repo for those wishing to use CreepyPastaCraft as a library to build addons against, so expect fun things to happen in the future! Will also sport a very nice downloads page for this mod and any others that I may start/assume maintenance of

Greetings fellow minecrafters. Having recieved Phucks permission and blessing I have adopted his now out of date CreepyPastaCraft mod.

Disclaimer: I do disclaim thee, o liability! But seriously, don't come running to me if you get pwnd by Jeff or someone.
I'll only be maintaining this mod for the last two *minor* minecraft versions, and only the latest patch of those. Translation: Currently I'm only doing 1.7.10; when 1.8.0 forge comes out, I'll work on 1.7.10 and 1.8.0; when 1.8.1 comes out, I'll work on 1.7.10 and 1.8.1 (notice no 1.8.0). When 1.9.0 comes out, I'll only work on 1.8.x (latest) and 1.9.0, and so on so fourth. Sorry 1.6.4 and below guys, but modding is far better on these versions. Bug your favorite mod authors to update!

    Installation instructions:
    1. Install Forge for the appropriate version.
    2. Place in .minecraft/mods
    3. Get the crap scared outta you!

    Known bugs:
You will occasionally recieve a an odd icon from the pc; it is a placeholder for the smile.jpg item, and to be fair I've included a temporary recipe to convert it into a smile.dog archive, just stick it on either your 2x2 crafting grid or a table and it can be crafted.

Hope all you folks got your diapers ready :D
