I made one... then some guy on Twitter Trashed me for making the only Donation ammount 5$...

Kickstarter or patreon? because what I see on patreon doesn't have an area saying "you can donate X amount" but rather "I need x amount monthly" or per unit (I setup a monthly; I'll be updating frequently if this takes hold.)

i'm sorry but what is a patreon

Crowd-funding thing. sorta like kickstarter. You have two kinds of users, creators and patrons. Patrons 'pledge' to support the creators, this can be a one time donation or a recurring donation. Alot of modders use it, and folks in my CreepyPastaCraft thread suggested I start one so they could support, so I thought, why not.

I think they would, as it helps the development. And probably more than just 12$ a year lol.

Yeah, hell with it. I'm setting it up. do you think you can produce a decent image, 714x402px, for my patreon site? It can be quick and dirty for now, but you can work on making a new one laterish :)

Maybe ask Pam about it. She already had a Patreon account for getting a new comp and donations poured in. Maybe put up mild spoilers for a new SCP update and it will attract donators.

Who is Pam? I'm not aware of that name.

You know, another good idea would be to start a Patreon account. Then people can donate money and you can set a goal (i.e. X amount of money for another update to CreepyPastaCraft, Y amount for SecureCraftProtect).

IDK, do you really think folks will donate? I'm not sure how many folks use CPC/SCP, but it sure would be nice if they'd donate $1/month, lol. $12/yr on their end and maybe a decentish amount on my side, enough to be able to pop out updates fast for you folks :)
But then again I may as well wish I win the lotto XD

Hmm, well, let him know that I and plenty of others will be waiting with baited breath for a release of SecureCraftProtect.

Yeah, I'd be working on these mods (and another project, non-minecraft) all the time if it payed the bills, but it doesnt. Atm I'm working and studying for my CompTIA A+ cert, so I may be able to get more free time and more pay once I get that and find some IT job.

Now that you've had the `lost my source scare' you should take this opportunity to look into some form of source control. I'd suggest git (though not neccessarily github if your mod is closed source) personally, it has always served me well :)

    WELL MOD-PACKS HAVE INSTALLERS

Is this a mod pack? No. This is a mod. Bold, underline, and all caps it all you want, some concepts in minecraft modding are simply stupid.

Hey really interested in this mod I would like it to be on the skydaz installers.

they are mods with installers really easy way to install mods! they work for you

Installers for mods are pointless. if you can't place a file in a certain folder you shouldn't be using computers at all. It's like saying "This toaster would be better if it picked up the bread and inserted it itself."

Hi I would like to post a bug or something wrong with liteloader, so when I try launching it using the liteloader profile, this shows up and Minecraft does not launch the game:

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.

can someone please tell me what this means and how to fix it? I am on a Mac that is 10.6.8 with a processor of 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo, and a memory of 1 GB and 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Well, if you only have 1gb ram, I think MC tries to use that by default. Halve that value, 512MB, and try again :)
The reason is you only have that much, and some is already in use by the OS itself, so it obviously can't use what is already in use.

Seems like the Devolepment froze since NetZ started with his Job. Well hopefully he'll get more time

Yeah. I've been very busy, but I've got a lead on an excellent job that could tremendously free up my time for this sort of thing. Sorry guys, time is a valuable resource, and modding does not pay the bills or feed me :/

No, not dead. Just started a new job, typically work 7 12h shifts a week, so I don't have as much time to code for it as before, but its not dead.
