Got it working with Lighttpd and MySQL, but sadly cant give much help. What i did was remove/delete all traces of dynmap and it's previous renders, update to latest version found on spigot site; then configure it for external server and mysql all over again; tip given is, choose the way to go first, instead of switching midway, including tiles to markers.

I've set it up without the internal server and with json, but for some reason, when using MySQL, i get the 'Could not retrieve configuration'. both php and php mysql seems to be working as normal.

Hi. Trying to get dynmap to show the map trough lighttpd on ubuntu. Everything is being shown as normal, except there is no map visible, none of the markersets ++, only a blank/black map with a globe spawn icon and default markersets.
Players also show up, on the list and on the map, but without skin/face icon, only a red border.
Can this be caused by dynmap using mysql?
The map shows up fine when going directly to the port dynmap's internal server uses.

Thanks for the answer, did it earlier today, and i'm happy to report that i see no problems with it yet.
# Stop server
# Moved the content of "playerdata" and also "stats" folder, into the new world folder.
# Removed the old world from Multiverse config
# Deleted the old world
# Set the new world as levelname in server.properties along with the new seed.
# Start server
# Connect to check that you get "Welcome back!" and not "Joined for the first time!", and that inventory is as before.
And ofcourse a full backup of EVERYTHING should be done by anyone who needs to do this in the future.
...The problem will most likely be if "ancient" players might join again, that didn't get to move or get force-moved, end up spawning into solid blocks. But that might even get prevented by some plugin or possible to fix with Skript. I'm just expecting that it might be a problem, but also the only problem.

# Don't even allow the /op command from in-game, not even by yourself, it is unnecessary to have it enabled if you have access to console.
# Use a permission plugin, and limit ALL permissions to what is absolutely necessary for you/friends to do what is wanted.
# Have a way to rollback (LogBlock) and some form of area protection (GriefPrevention is awesome at that, it also has Restore Nature).
Mar 16, 2015I think this has to do with whatever plugin you use that provides prefixes. We used iConomy + iConomy Chestshop.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
What's doing prefixes on our server is Vault + PermissionsEX, and all trade messages would appear as white/green lines, without prefixes at all in them.
Mar 16, 2015norsemines posted a message on Server not using server.properties & starting on wrong IP AddressTry not setting any IP, that should make it listen on all network adapters.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
If your server gets it's IP assigned by DHCP, it might (or will) change from time to time, which would make the minecraft server fail binding to the previous IP since the network adapter now has been given a different address. In this case, you either have to leave out setting the IP in server.properties, or make sure the server always have the same static lan ip.
Mar 16, 2015norsemines posted a message on Possible to move "playerdata" to a new world folder? Our server recently changed world, by allowing users to migrate and keeping their inventory.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
This was done using Multiverse. But there are 2 problems.
All the player data seems to still be stored in the old world's "playerdata" folder.
And sometimes an earlier player join, who exited being in the old world and who never moved, so that loads the old world and the player has to be forcefully tp'ed into the new world. The problem here are probably lots of earlier players who joined never to come online again in the future.
Is it possible to move the content of the old worlds "playerdata" folder, into the (still empty) "playerdata" folder of the new world? And then set the new world as main world in server.properties ?
Mar 9, 2015norsemines posted a message on How long does it take to MOTD-verify a minecraft server?Hi.Posted in: Forum Discussion & Info
I added my server, copy pasted the hash-like verify code, then copy pasted it to the server's motd, it has now been visible for well over an hour, and during that time, it has been pinged by this site atleast 2 times.
Still, it says to add it to the motd, if i try to edit it...
Help/tip would be appreciated.
