Hey guys, Im back!
This time not with a Flatham, Aramis or Prototype news or updates (my previous maps with a total of 300.000 downloads and more than 70 hours of gameplay)
Today, I present you my new map, Amnesia world and story recreated in minecraft, not the exact same thing, but most of it with things added by me to adapt it to the minecraft world.
For those who don't know, Amnesia is a survival horror game, it takes place at a creepy and abandoned castle, the Brennenburg Castle, in the middle of the old Prussian woods. You wake up in an amnesia state of 90% inside this scary place, you have to find what's happening and put and end to it, but you will also have to deal with the horrors that follow you, the brutes, grunts, waterlurkers and the living nightmare, the shadow... All you can remember is that this demon (The Shadow) is following you and you have to stop baron of the castle Alexander of Brennenburg, however, you forgot why, as soon as you progress, throught flashbacks and notes, you will remember why you are after him and why all these horrors are chasing you down...

Sounds, soundtracks and monsters:
Soundtracks, most of them from Amnesia: The Dark Descent and will be played when a event occurs or in specific sections of the map.
About the sounds. you can hear:
Animals being tortured, a location of example would be Study Room.
Babies, women and men crying. You can hear them at Prison, Cistern and a couple other places.
Ghost footsteps. Around the spawn area and at Storage.
Chains. In lot of places, like the Morgue.
Sounds of brutes, grunts and suitors. Can be heard from lot of parts in the map.
Doors being destroyed. For example at Storage.
Voices. Lots of places of castle.
Trastorned prisoners talking. You can hear them in places like Prison.
Flashbacks from Amnesia.
And so on!
And monsters are not zombies reskined or something like that, they are brutes, grunts, waterlurkers and suitors with their own skins, their own spawn point, their own different sounds, each one trigger the chase soundtrack from Amnesia and each one of them deals different damage. (For example, just like Amnesia, a brute deals more damage than a grunt). Oh, and they can't be killed, so you basically have to escape from them or hide, just like the actual game.
With all this mentioned, this map is not for everyone. Map contains visual horror but also psychological horror, plus, it contains some perturbing images. Player discretion is advised.

[i]Finally finished map, one of best maps I have ever played, however, if we exclude other maps, and compare AmnesiaCraft vs only horror map, AmnesiaCraft wins, best horror map in minecraft I have tried out.
Took me 6 hours to finish it, got scared more than 20 times.
Some parts ACTUALLY scared me more than Amnesia.
You recreated the castle of brennenburg so perfectly, plus, the sound system you put into the map is just brilliant.

[i]Today i have finished AmnesiaCraft, I must say you did an amazing job, like this more than all your other maps considering only main quests/story line, it was so brilliant, well made, long enough and story line great too.
I will never forget the sound of the shadow, I think it was the scariest thing in the map, other than the storage, oh, and transept and choir were just so, scary and disgusting, but it added a lot of horror feeling to the map, this map is a 5/5 for me.
You should definitely do another map/custom story.[/i]

Rules (Read them or don't bother playing)- Play on peaceful (don't worry, enemies will still spawn), playing in another difficulty will bug the map.
- You can't destroy blocks, unless you are mentioned to do it.
- You can only place torches and levers, buttons and pressure playes (keys) you find in chests.
- Must play with music at 0% and sound at 100%
- Must play with texture and sound packs enabled.
- Render Distance must be at TINY.
- Read all the notes and signs, otherwise don't complain about getting lost or saying map sucks.
- Don't browse the map media files unless you are mentioned to do it.

You use must download the modpack and install it in order to play the map, otherwise, AmnesiaCraft will crash on start.
Make sure to have texture pack and sound pack enabled before start. To activate sound pack, click sound packs at minecraft main menu and select the Amnesia one.

Bugs:
1- Enemies will only deal 2 hearts when hitting you, this will be fixed in next version.
This means grunts, waterlurkers and brutes will only deal on hit 2 hearts when they should actually deal:
Grunt: 10 hearts, Waterlurkers: 10 Hearts and Brutes: 15 Hearts.
2- There is a staircase blocked at the Transept (a block at ceiling will block your way), to continue just break the cobblestone block blocking you. (Just to let you know, the Transept is one of the last areas of the map, where torture rooms are, similar to the Choir)

Character's signifying traits: At first glance, one might assume this creature to be some sort of bizarre combination of deathclaw and supermutant. On second glance that opinion may change, as it is clearly not violent or brutish -- just huge, green, covered in scales and clearly inhuman in shape. That would be because she is what her kind call a "morechiy". To describe her more accurately, her body shape is reminiscent of that of a deathclaw -- up to and including claws, long digitigrade feet and a tail -- though clearly closer to human in body proportions. In size and color however, she is a large creature with scales of a pale sage green, tinged with blue in areas where one would expect a reddish blush. You may consider such a detail odd, but she would assure you that yes, her blood is in fact blue. Quite alien, you'd think, but a mutant can't really control how they change, can they?
In spite of the oddness of her face, you can tell that she's being quite honest about this. Her large, red-irised eyes do not show nervousness, her lips do not curl, nor do the widely-spaced, large nostrils of her heavy, flat nose so much as twitch. Even her large, cow-like ears, which up until now have been visibly active as she listened, do not move. It really is hard to hide facts when you stick out like a sore thumb, after all.

*a figure lays propped up against a wall in a ruin, apparently injured or resting*
*the sound of footsteps crunching in the rubble breaks the silence moments before a large, deathclaw-like figure rounds the corner*
*the injured figure glances at the source of the footsteps and upon realizing the shape of the creature rounding the corner, he tenses nervously, trying to go unnoticed*
*the beastly figure's attention is caught by the slight movement of the sitting man tensing up. Its stance stiffens as well, but then relaxes after a moment. It opens its mouth and unexpectedly, begins to speak in a female voice* "I'm no threat, guy. Just scavenging."
*the sitting man is visibly taken aback by the creature's actions, shuddering suddenly in shock -- not only is it apparently not a monster, but it speaks as well! He composes himself somewhat before blurting out* "I... er... sorry. You uh... looked like a deathclaw to me."
*she laughs, adjusting the pack slung over her shoulder* "It's alright. I get that a lot."
Character biography: After a few bad run-ins with humans assuming the morechiy to be ravenous monsters, they largely chose to hide themselves from the world and slowly migrated outwards from their former vault home. Appreciating the seclusion and relative safety of their former vault, most morechiy choose to make their communal homes in large caverns with sources of decent water inside. Over time, the morechiy experienced splits in their group, eventually forming four clans. Her splinter group -- or clan, as she'd prefer to call it -- are the Rovanii, the first of the clans to separate from the original inhabitants of Vault 47 and the first to choose to permanently settle down, formed settlements of their own. Hers is the only one to exist so far east, in a peculiarly thick wooded area northeast of former Milwaukee, which they call Haeptin.
There she grew up, the granddaughter of one of the original morechiy of Vault 47. She trained under her grandmother as a forester and ranger of sorts who was partially responsible for much of their forest home existing as it is, as well as for its defense. She grew to be a much-respected elder in her settlement, and was eventually voted to be its clan-matron -- a position of leadership mostly seen as an example of the clan's ideals and a figurehead often utilized in mediation and diplomacy both inside and outside the clan. What faction and position are you applying for?: Clan-matron of the morechiy settled in Haeptin.
Why should we let you have a leadership position in this faction?: I believe that this would add an interesting new faction and race to the wasteland that aren't in any way covered by any in canon lore of the Fallout series or in your server's custom factions -- especially since this faction is tribal and isn't bent on expansion, domination or war.
Do you have any experience with anything like this?: While I do not have any experience in leading a faction, I was a major figure in a faction on another apocalyptic serious roleplay server. Plus the structure of this faction I'm proposing is rather open to people organizing and things on their own, so long as they adhere to the lore of the faction. Basically, my leadership status is just so I can make this option available to myself and others, and so I can be a lore-nazi for my own creation. :V
Have you ever played on any Fallout role-play servers?: No, but I have played a relatively major role in a faction on a post-apocalyptic serious roleplay server before. I was also one of that server's admins and its server maintainer. (Ruined World, before it fell apart and went into perpetual hiatus!)
How much experience do you have in Fallout?: I've played Fallout 3 and New Vegas all the way through, and I enjoy reading up on its lore both in-game and out of game. I have no intent to go crapping on the lore as it is, just adding to it if possible!
General faction info: A relatively secluded group of mutants living communally in a deep cavern surrounded by an unusual forest, northwest of former Milwaukee. Their style of living is considered to be tribal – though unlike most of their human tribal counterparts, they value scientific endeavor and predominantly dismiss mystical thinking as foolish. Their choice of governance easily shifts between anarchy, meritocracy and democracy depending on the situation at hand. “Morechiy”, their chosen name for their species, is supposedly linked to a common story relating to their mutation, whereby an unnamed child complained of being “more itchy” during the change.
The Morechiy in general are very down-to-earth and unusually practical, but maintain a rather "bipolar" demeanor in that they can easily shift from one extreme of emotion to another – sometimes with little provocation – though they are seldom violent outside of defending themselves or others. They also do not fare very well mentally and emotionally if they cannot -- or choose not to -- physically exert themselves for extended periods of time. People that encounter the morechiy without foreknowledge of their existence often assume them to be hostile, and tend to expect them to act similarly to deathclaws or supermutants – some even believe them to be related to each other. To those that know them, the stereotypical image of of a morechiy is one who leads a relatively simple life, is gregarious, relishes hard work or brisk exercise and will pleasantly quip with others or philosophically muse with themselves in a cheerfully sober way when in a good mood, yet when slighted they quickly go into a terrible rage or depression or might act a bit loopy if they stay inactive for too long. Even despite this, most maintain -- or in urgent situations, acquire -- an admirable level of self-control and definitely make incredible friends, since they are consistently capable of quick, reliable action as they know they must stay level-headed for the sake of practicality, and often do so long as they stay active and nobody heavily abuses their immense amounts of patience. As a rule of thumb, if a person can gain a morechiy's undying respect, chances are that they're a very reliable and honest person as well.
Their dealings with the outside world are apparently few, though that could be due to whoever they meet with keeping their meetings secret. They have had run-ins with the Enclave in the past due to their status as mutants. The Enclave had originally underestimated their strength after having observed them to be largely pacifist. While suffering casualties that were far from negligible, the morechiy held out quite well despite their complete lack of energy weaponry and power armor, undoubtedly due to what they call their "battle-trance". This battle-trance is a self-defense mechanism that manifests when a morechiy perceives danger from others' violent intent or actions. This allows a morechiy to become a fierce fighting machine, boosting their strength, pain tolerance, senses and reflexes to levels normally unattainable when in a more peaceful state of mind. For example, while a well-trained morech militiaman might be a skilled and effective fighter, the same militiaman in a battle trance is truly a terror to behold. Even those morechiy unaccustomed to fighting in a normal setting prove to be effective fighters when pressed into a battle trance.

TL;DR summary -- The morechiy are a race of intelligent, semi-tribal mutants who are largely the "gentle giant" type and live communally in a cavern in the middle of a dense forest (no specifics as to what kind of forest -- regular or weird mutant jungle is fine. The latter would definitely scare off outsiders. :V)

Hey there Spawn, I worked with Benn on this and we've a few things we want to address.
-Concerning the backstory of the character, overall the concept of it is perfectly fine. We were a bit disappointed to see that the tribe the character was from wasn’t named. But we liked the concept of it, though we believe a few things worthy of change would be how the inhabitants of this tribe became generally larger and stronger than most normal people; as saying it was because of a, “harsh upbringing” doesn’t entirely explain much of anything. Instead we feel it would be better if it was because of incest, radiation, cannibalism, or a combination of these things.
As well as the unnecessary harshness of his childhood. While perfectly fine to have a character who was beaten by his parents or had some sort of rough upbringing, we feel it better if there was some sort of explanation as to ‘why’ this happened. Rather than just having a rough upbringing simply because it makes him more ‘deep’.
-His high pain tolerance "flaw" is hardly a flaw at all, your example of his pain tolerance worries me as it implies he's so resilient to pain that he would not notice an arrow in his back, which is simply unrealistic and overpowered.
-Requested equipment and character's current status in Coahuiltecan; in the final paragraph of of your backstory you state that he is slightly more than a slave, has he earned their trust as a warrior(implied by his weaponry) in only a few years, how did he rise among the other slaves with a quick temper and hate for his captors(who aren't really in desperate need for better warriors)? I appreciate the attempt at diversity, but if you want him to be a slave turned warrior you should rethink how you play this character, his personality and explain in his backstory how he worked his way up, however I strongly recommend you just start as a slave, get a feel for how the character works before deciding how he acts, this will also be much easier to explain in backstory
-We've tried to hold back on nitpicking at things that don't necessarily need to be addressed, but the following is noteworthy:
His hatred for the Coahuiltecan and plan to work his way up the ranks either for a chance at revenge or just to survive conflict with his personality "tends to get ticked off easily and/or prefers a more brawn over brains" "doesn't aspire to any sort of greater goal" "tendency to lash out at others who tick him off in any sort of matter" looking past the personality conflict, if I focus on his personality he seems like a recipe for disaster as a Coahuiltecan slave, however you seem to describe him being beaten into obedience. I feel like when you wrote his personality you weren't describing his current state, does he obey them while hating them and therefore no longer quick-tempered and brutish? Again this isn't a horrible issue but we'd like some clarification.

Your backstory should still be expanded more, it's hard to follow and should have more needed information, less irrelevant information. There also isn't a recently collapsed tower in our Denver map, because there's no reason it would survive bombing and collapse now randomly.
Until your app (mainly your backstory) is improved, you are still denied.

Also, I would recommend your character be somewhat pure (Atleast not a rapist-chem user), possibly gullible/loyal, the legion recruits whole tribes for their main recruitment thing, maybe a lone tribal if you know how to RP one.
