I don't wanna brag but I have, like, 3 worlds like this. When I start a new world I continue deleting and creating them until I find one like this. It's so much fun to play in :smile.gif:

It's random. It makes the dungeon there (technically underground), then the map gen carves the cave through it, making it open to the outside.

That makes sense, actually. Probably what happened.

From my understanding, there is a small problem with the random generator where it starts to create a cave or a cliff, but doesn't finish it. It's a nice find however.

Yeah that's mostly an inside joke between me and a friend :smile.gif: Most people find it funny though.

So, on-topic, no-one can tell me why this happened? Is there some algorithm it uses to place dungeons or is it completely random?

I was messing around trying to generate a new world to start in (I've since done a lot in this world!) and noticed a cave near my spawn. I investigated and found a dungeon, complete with skeleton spawner. I kinda freaked out and decided to film it. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them?
