This works great man, thanks! I wish there was a way to stop lava flows, but that's not really feasible so I'll have to manage with blocking them off with dirt.

I keep remaking this seed in my different backups of previous versions, and I keep spawning here. Confirm if you spawn here?
I've planted a few trees just outside this small cave system, and behind me I'm going to be clearing space for farming. That hole dug into the wall on the right of the cave WAS a coal deposit.
There's a nice bonus just inside the cave, plenty of coal and gravel.
And a Zombie spawner, of all things! I've glassed it off and collected that mossy cobblestone until I can plan out an efficient grinder for it.
