This all sounds great. However, Pocket Edition is still missing two things that I would really like to see.

    1. Increased build height to 256.

    2. Red stone.

This looks quite neat! Out of curiosity, is Northern Industria a separate map, or does it have the city too? It would be cool if they were combined into one world.

posted a message on When is 0.10.0 coming out
I want it out soon as well.

Here are some things I want Pocket Edition to get.

    • Boats
    • Toggable Day/Night cycle for Creative
    • Weather
    • Block height increased to 256 (If I had to choose one of these things to be added, this is the one I would pick. Personally I wish all versions were increased to something like 512 or even better 1024. I'm a guy who likes building massive sky scrapers.)
    • Nether
    • End
    • Working red stone

posted a message on Horrable FPS, resolution, chunk rendering, and draw distance
My biggest issue is the draw distance. If it had the PS3 draw distance, and ran the same as it does now, I would be fine with it.

The draw distance is not acceptable. I like to look at my creations from far away. It isn't acceptable because I have way better draw distances on my Galaxy S4. The Vita is more powerful than a Samsung Galaxy S4.

The awful draw distance is why I say the game isn't optimized. I think they are going to work on optimizing it more, but for now we have to deal with seeing as far as you would when its foggy outside. I sure hope that this is the case and the draw distance can be fixed. It is what is preventing me from wanting to play the Vita version.

posted a message on Horrable FPS, resolution, chunk rendering, and draw distance
Does anyone else agree that Minecraft PS Vita is horribly optimized?
Apparently the PS Vita is just about as powerful as the PS3. So here is the questions. Why is the FPS so bad? Why do the chunks load so slow? Why is the resolution so bad? Most noticeably, why is the draw distance so bad? It is like the equivalent of Small or Tiny on PC. The PS Vita is more powerful, or about as powerful as the smart phones so what is up with that? If it was Minecraft PSP Edition, I could understand. But other than that, the graphics are just as good as the PS3/PS4 version. In terms of lighting.
So now the big question. Do you think it is just because it hasn't been optimized for PS Vita yet, or the PS Vita isn't powerful enough for it? Lets hope they can improve the optimization and at least increase those FPS and draw distance.

posted a message on Minecraft Pocket Edition Upcoming Updates!
I am really looking forward to this.

The things I want to see in Pocket Edition:

    • Boats
    • Mine carts (cant remember if it was already added or not)
    • Day Night cycle in Creative Mode (which can be enabled or disabled)
    • Weather (which can be enabled or disabled in creative)
    • Build height limit raised up to 256
    • The Nether (I have a slight feeling that won't be in Pocket Edition.)
    • Skins
    • Music
    • Red Stone
    • The End
    • An in game database that contains texture packs, skins, maps, and mods. Would be nice to see this on the PC version as well.
Some other additions I'd like to see to all Minecraft editions.

    • Dye grass
    • Dye water
    • A luminous block that can be dyed. This changes the color of the light so you can have colored lighting.
    • Wool steps, and slabs.
    • Corner blocks. (or quarter slabs) Basically variations of blocks that are small, and take up 1/8th of a block. Multiple can be placed with in the space of one block. This will allow for some small details to be made.
    • Stack slabs of different types.

It is looking good. However to improve the quality of Pocket Edition, they should do a few things.
-Lighten up the sky. Its way too dark.
    -Larger world on faster devices.
-At the edge of the world, have it end like on the Xbox 360 Edition so its more realistic.
    -Day/Night cycle in Creative
-256 build height. I'm a guy who likes to build sky scrapers and this would come in handy.

posted a message on Ps4 vs ps3 vs ps vita
If the Vita version is like Pocket Edition, I'm gonna be mad.

As far as world size goes, I think PS3 Edition is gonna be like Xbox 360 Edition, PS4 Edition is gonna be like Xbox One Edition. However, I don't know about Vita. Despite its power, developers have a tendency to underestimate the power of Sony handhelds. and they water games down when its not necessary. If its the best case, it will be like PS3. It may be like one of those games that you buy it once, and it runs on all those systems, and they can play together, no matter if their on PS3, PS4 or PS Vita.

Thing is about the Play Station version, it may be behind on the updates VS the Xbox 360, for the same reason why the Xbox 360 version is behind on updates VS the PC version.

posted a message on Joypad Mod - USB Controller, Split Screen [over 350K downloads]
Nice mod. But I'm wondering, do you think you may make it so it can show Xbox 360 Buttons from Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition, instead of just the text?

Edit: Also I'd remove the sprinting/sneaking text. (Leave it for a debug mode, but otherwise no.) I know I'm sprinting. Camera is zoomed out, and I'm going faster. lol. But I wish we could have the Xbox 360 creative flying on PC. Its so much better.

Also you should fix the joysticks/triggers. I try to configure them, and it always resets it back to 0.0 for the dead zones. It shouldn't need to be configured. If its different for different controllers, you should make pre configured files. Its very irritating because every time I try to configure it, it resets everything to zero.

    I'm waiting for:
    -Increased build Height
    -Actual Biomes with weather
-Larger Worlds. (Worlds change size based on how powerful your device is)
-Worlds realistically end like on the Xbox 360 version. They don't just cut off, there is a shoreline, and you see an ocean outside it.

posted a message on Redstone Lamp Lighting Bug
    Other light glitches I noticed.
-If you pay attention closely, textures at a certain distance kinda make a stripe. Its faint. You can see it on trees.
-If you go to the edge of the map, under the water, when you go down far enough, the underwater effect isn't there.

    5. They're inside a building that offers a very tiny viewspace out into the sky at a horizontal angle (and not upwards toward the clouds), so you can't see many details about what lies beyond the window.
    :)
Well obviously yes. I'm talking about the screens that are outside.

Anyone notice that the TU 12 screens don't have clouds? This could mean ether of four things:
    1. They haven't coded them in yet. It could have to do with the height limit, they need to be reimplemented. It could be one of the bugs their fixing.
    2. Clouds are simply off (may be because they have a bug they need to fix).
    3. They raised the clouds so they are above the new build height.
    4. They added clear weather. Sunny but no clouds.

posted a message on Liberty City (GTA III) in Minecraft
Looks great. A couple of things I'll let you know about to help.

First, the Mac. Can be solved. Search for a program called Boot Camp on Google. That should allow you to be able to run MC Edit. (I thought there was a Mac version of MC Edit).

Secondly, you should look for the tool that can turn models into a sculpture made out of MC blocks, much like what is being used on the San Andreas map. It will also allow everything to match up.

Third thing, you should build the map on a flat world. Reason being, the sky scrapers on Staunton Island may not fit under the height limit and may look shortened.

The main problem is you don't have Windows. You don't necessarily need a PC, you can use your current computer, but it will need to run Windows apps to be able to use the tools to extract the models out of GTA III.
