Recently, I have seen a slur of rant threads posting about how they dislike changes about the game or just the adventure update in general.
I guess one big problem effecting them is just the new game play mechanics and how you now have a food bar, exp bar among other things that affected it.
What I am suggesting is a "Normal" or Classic mode which would offer game play mechanics pre-1.8 (no food bar, exp bar, eating food regens health... etc) while of course keeping regular updates to the game (lighting engine, new mobs, ores... etc).
I am guessing this will provide some happy medium for those people who want new content but want the old core of Minecraft.
This is just generally the idea of my suggestion. Feedback is welcome!
This is the first topic which hasn't been VERY biased against minecraft I've seen in a while, instead of people flaming and ranting on the forums.
Personally I like the changes, I haven't seen any decrease in FPS and I like the general idea of more adventure.
Like i suggested in a separate topic, some kind of "normal" would make people happy removing the need of a food/exp bar and bringing back the "old" game mechanics but still incorporating the new changes.
Coming onto the forums of a game developer who's earned a huge reputation and a big following of players and a massive community, and telling them on THEIR forums that their biggest game has gone to ****??

I really don't like all these people coming onto forums posting about how they hate or dislike the direction the game is going in. As much as I don't like the way the other person put it, there is nothing more I can say then "Deal with it"
I too understand where you are coming from, but do not totally agree which is fine. I still think Minecraft is a great game.

I guess those 2 new additions really aren't making some people happy.

Minecraft has a great community, and one member lost isn't the end of the world for Mojang. Have a good life.
