My friends and I came up with an Idea after swim practice and it started from an inside joke where I said that penguins are going to take over the world and we need to go to war with them, yadda yadda yadda. Then I realized something.
There are mods for plenty of things, probably ones for penguins and weapons and stuff. So I looked it up and found some.
Pet penguins adds in two types of penguins with different strength levels and craftable recipes. They throw snowballs at any mobs you attack. So I assume (this is an assumption, haven't tested these mods yet) that when attacked they would attack back. The other two add in guns and things to make guns. From real life guns like the P90 in FN5782 to the Needle gun in Minefactory Reloaded.
What if it gets boring running around shooting penguins? Whats the point?
Well I thought of that next. What if it was possible to set up a PVP fight, all players, one team is penguins, one team minecrafters. I know there is a mod or a plug-in that lets you disguise yourself as an animal, the penguin team can do that and attack and the other people can be themselves.
What if players get annoyed with PVP?
Well is there a mod or a plug-in that sets up a mob arena where you choose what gets sent in? Cause you could control what gets spawned in and send in herds or flocks or whatevers of penguins and fight them.
So a mob arena, PlayerVPenguin, and Roleplay Free-roaming.
Good idea or no?
And if the penguins were over the top...I had another thought.
Instead of penguins, do a walking dead similar thing. Do the same mods (minus the penguins of course) and have a mod or a plugin to control what gets spawned in so only zombies come in, and its a Total Zombie Apocalypse Role play server!
It would run like all other role play servers, application, story line, you die in the game create a new character. etc etc. Follow the lore and whatever but it keeps to the zombie apocalypse theme. We have a world set up with cities and towns and everything is well thought out and built to perfection to fit and have a texture pack to go with.
I think these are great ideas and I want to see what people think about this to see if this is First of all, even possible, Secondly, A good idea, and 3rd a good enough fan base on the idea to make this possible
So let me know, and if there are any people that would like to help expand my ideas or have one of these servers running, private message me or reply to this post.
Ok, I came up with a great Idea and actually cranked this one out in a few hours.
I made a baby Zombie Race Track.
Baby zombies ride in mine carts, and try to chase a runner down the track as incentive to get them going. So they go barreling down the track, and people bet on who wins, and I have simple machines to do that, along with starting and stopping the race, and photo finishes can be determined by screenshots. I thought it was an excellent idea so I tested it out and it worked.
But to get the baby zombies I have to make a grinder/mob sorter mechanism thingy. I based it off a youtube video I watched that sparked the whole idea!
Unfortunately I don't have a link to this video but I can make a Schematic of the grinder is you guys would like.
But I think this is a pretty sweet idea to have on a server! Like honestly!
How about an under ground tunnel system which leads to a Egyptian temple filled with traps, traps and more traps!
You should also try building ancient Greek buildings (temples, houses, etc) They are pretty cool. Maybe build Poseidon's palace underwater which is surrounded by the city of Atlantis!
The Greek Temples would be cool! I'm gonna try that.
But I don't know enough traps for the temple.....
I have also been working on Redstone instruments. I have made a Guitar, Piano, Bongo's and a drum set so far.

I've been bored recently and (being a musician) I was trying to think of making real working instruments in Minecraft. My ideas, although relatively simple, I find to be really cool. Such as a Piano, Bongos, and a Drum set. For all of you that use MC Edit, I have all of these made into schematic files if you are interested. The links for each are after the pictures.
This has to be the best update yet I love all the new flowers and biomes and stuff does this one have like a set name? I haven't heard one yet. Like 1.5 was The Redstone Update, 1.6 was the Horse Update, what's this one? Cause when I talk to my friends I describe it as "a Nature update"
Ok, so I downloaded the server program from minecraft.net, I went through, and I opened up the ports on both of my firewalls, on Windows and my router on port 25565, UDP and TDP, but when I use a port checking tool, it still says it can't find me.
I checked my networking, and it was on Private, so I changed it to public and tried again. Still no good.
I saw when I was port forwarding, LAN was Disabled, but that wouldn't affect it right? and if it does, I cant find where to enable it.
But I also thought that my computer is really slow. Maybe because the port checking tool was run through my internet and mine is so slow it just wasn't working right.
Well, What do I do?? Please help me figure this out!!!!
You may need to reinstall the locally installed files that Minecraft puts into place.
To do so, press your Windows+R keys, type in %AppData% at the dialog, and press Enter. In the window that appears, open the .minecraft directory, and delete everything except for the saves directory that you see therein.
Then, try running Minecraft again.

It can't even find the update. I already tried that. It says something like "update not found in time" and goes along with it. I tried to do the profile but the only versions I have are 1.6.2 through 1.5
I went a while without internet and managed to miss an entire update while we are on the brink of 1.7.
the question is, How do you update from 1.6.4?
I thought you have to get a new launcher for it right? It said that on the old one to get it in preparation of 1.7 and it leaves a link to the minecraft download page. I downloaded it but its the same one I have and it can't find the update.
Just go for three types dragons, the ender dragon, (evil black dragon), a nether dragons can be red, small tamable and abundant and can fit through the portal after you tame them. then in the overworld in an Extreme hills, you floating island or a specific biome where only like 1 can generate you have a White Overworld dragon, but instead of it being hostile it can be like, good and spawn things. Like a dragon of creation almost!

No, I only have the two firewalls, I opened the ports on both of them as explained to. a UDP and TDP, 25565, everything should be open...but it isn't.
