Its not possible. The message "Your gamemode has been changed" or "Your gamemode has been updated" cannot be removed because the client generates it, not the server.
Thanks. I'll just use minefrost's suggestion on shortening the time between messages.
If it will help, use solar redstone power so it will only set their gamemode once per day, or just make it a longer time if you really need to.
First and foremost, the time on the map is always day, so that won't work. It's a LAN, not a server.
Second, the messages just need to be GONE. There's messages like that coming every split-second, like I said (gamemode messages, not important messages). It would be WAYY easier if it could be just GONE.
I have a clock-circuit that makes everyone's gamemode adventure every second so nobody tries to cheat. But sadly, the chat looks like this:
Your gamemode has been updated.
Your gamemode has been updated.
Your gamemode has been updated.
Your gamemode has been updated.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE PEOPLE NEED TO READ
Your gamemode has been updated.
Your gamemode has been updated.
Your gamemode has been updated.
Your gamemode has been updated.
And then the message goes out of display. Any way to remove the gamemode updated thing? I'm quite sick of it and I need it for my pvp map to work.
start the server using the bukkit launcher. It will create a folder named plugins. Place the plugin in that folder, start the server and play! :biggrin.gif:
Hey all. I just downloaded the RB for Bukkit 1.1 and I can't find where to out the plugins. Can someone give me a guide to where to put my plugins? Direct instructions please, no link sh*t. I've tried them all.
OK I have a macbook pro osx lion 10.7.2...now i want to test the classic out before i buy the guy and it is not working in browser...
I click on play single player
then it shows the java load
then it show the minecraft name and loads
then something pops up saying the certificate has been verified
I click yes and the same exact things pop up 4 more times
and then it is a black screen...
If this was hard to understand i can take a video and upload it to youtube and give you a link
Plzzz help!
Check to make sure you have the latest version of Java Virtual Machine. Should fix black screen.
Also, check to make sure your browser allows Java. That should fix the certificate problem. If not, make sure your browser likes the minecraft site.
once i restarted my server and it created a new world and ignored the old server world and now i cant put back the server files or the world. and when i restarted the files were not on the desktop and they usally apear there. by the way im on a mac.
Try re-installing the server jar. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you. Usually re-installing the jar would help.
Hey all, I was screwing around with my minecraft.jar earlier and I stumbled upon the 'splashes.txt' file. I thought it would be cool if I could make my own splashes so I opened it up and edited it. Nao, when I visit the main screen, none of my custom splashes show up and it says 'missingno'.
Can anyone help me reset these to their normal state? Or get it to say something else besides 'missingno'?
it is the same as in windows just go to your home folder and right click and select show hidden folder or control h and you should see the .minecraft folder inside is the same as on windows
Hey all, I just installed Ubuntu 11.10 the other day on my Acer, and it erased all my mods/textpacks. I'm still getting used to Ubuntu, so can anyone in the meantime get me a video tut for installing mods/texturepacks on Ubuntu 11.10?

What is an NBT-Editor?

/say @p has earned &cGODMODE &ffor 5 seconds!
Which should output this:
(@a) ExamplePlayer has earned GODMODE for 5 seconds!
But I get this:
(@a) ExamplePlayer has earned &cGODMODE &ffor 5 seconds!
Is there any way to fix this?

Already tried that.
Important messages are coming from command blocks, not me.
Thanks. I'll just use minefrost's suggestion on shortening the time between messages.
