Well at least it wasnt another post about how someone found a cross shape in the sand and is now posting that jesus is in his world or that notch put religion in minecraft. Those threads **** me off.
I still use, and prefer, I for inventory. Ive been using it ever since I started playing about a year ago, and I don't plan on changing it. I already have enough problems trying to strafe using q and e from all the warcraft I play, I dont need to be opening my inventory when I do that.
I'll dump lava on it and have it be a sacrifice to the lava god, who will in turn give me a good harvest of trees, wheat, sugar cane, and those new melons.
If I dont have lava, Ill carefully build a wall around me, then wait for it to break it down and kill me.
Sup guys, last night I found a spawner and made a basic 5x7 water trap for it. Well after getting a full of arrows, I realised that I wanted much more. So, I decided to build a 30x80 spawning room and connect it to my spawner farmer. The canals are 2 wide & 2 deep in the spawn room, spread out 6 apart and are connected to a main canal that runs into my spawner trap. The problem Im having is that after a while, spiders overrun my spawn and no other mobs spawn except my spawner skeletons.
My water trap looks like this
Where as the fire = the spawn, = the drowning portion, :Indigo:=flow and is the source block
So as you can see, it doesnt kill the spiders. I've tried adding a lava flow above the drowning spots aganst the wall, but the sign makes my water flow into the wall and creates a dead spot in my collection flow, and it doesnt prevent the lava flow. I tried with ladders as well, but it doesnt contain the lava field where I want it either.
Lava containment attempt looks like this :

So how do I make my trap kill spiders without messing up my waterflow? Would a dispenser shooting arrows work, since im using pressure plates to stop the waterflows?
Go to the lake above, dump lava over it, mine the cobble, repeat til you hit the sand at the bottom but dont mine that sand. Go back under the cave, place torches on every block on the floor thats under the sand. Hit the sand, run away, gather the sand back up, then go on about your mining.
When he mines the cobble thats above the sand the sand will fall.

Day 1: I have gathered dirt, wood, saplings, and coal. No sign of any creepers. I have made an underwater base in the middle of the lake. It is currently unfinished and I have retreated to the bottom due to nightfall and creepers.
Day 2: I have found a cave system under my base. There was coal and 4 iron. I am hollowing out an area to start a tree farm.
Day 3: My tree farming area is complete. It is 15 blocks deep and 20 blocks wide. My base flooded in the process, removing my torches. A spider spawned while I was gathering my things. I fought it off with my stone pick and came out with half a hart remaining.
Day 4: I have planted my trees. I wait.
Day 5: Im still waiting.
Day 6 - ???: I fell asleep. No trees spawned in the 4 hours I was asleep for.
Day ????: I returned to the original enterance to my base. I dug up through the roof. A creeper was there and ruined my roof. I died. Four more creepers awaited me back at my base. I flooded it. I ragequit.
Has anyone noticed that you can ride up a source block of water through the corners of two blocks? Its hard to explain so I'll just post this video of what I mean.

Play on peaceful, and gather wood and stone throughout the night

Get bored and do it all over again.
