These seem like very good mod ideas! Some of them, like spreading vegetation or custom animal behavior could be somewhat simple to do. Even content adders could prove to be possible with basic coding.
Good job at building all of this stuff! It is almost hard to imagine that you have been working on this same city for so long. It must be one of the largest ever built!
No forge? That is a bit unusual now days. I am not sure how to mod Minecraft without forge. But you could use something like the following to decrease a player's health.
EntityPlayer player = (EntityPlayer) <The input entity.>;
player.setHealth(player.getHealth() - 1);
The mod would need to send data to he server somehow, in order for another player to receive the friend request. Or it could automatically trigger whatever command is used to send the friend request. As for recognizing the target player, that could probably be done with an event handler easily.
So you want to create a mod that allows people to have friend requests automatically sent to whoever defeats them in PvP.
It looks like this would need to be a client mod (but not necessarily a hack), as servers like Hypixel are vanilla servers. I have never made a mod of that type before, but forge is probably able to do client stuff like that.
From what I have seen, Beta 1.7.3 seems to have been a popular version to mod (the equivalent of 1.7.10). I think the mods Industrial Craft and, Build Craft were first released for that version of Minecraft. There is also that old Zepplin Mod, which lets you build flying structures out of blocks, and some old dimensional mods like the Aether mod, Moon mod, Mars mod, and I think the Twilight Forest mod too.
This marketplace thing seems like it might be a good idea for the pocket and console editions, but I find it hard to imagine putting it in the PC edition.

The example code I gave you works with Minecraft 1.11.2. I think I had to change it after I updated from 1.8.9 to 1.11.2.

This looks like a cool mod! I seems to be one of the first to add many elements, and a way to extract them from a lot of different things.

This looks like a very useful mod! It is similar to Buildcraft, but this looks much simpler to use.
It will be interesting to see what the majority of players think about this mod.
By the way, first comment!

What I use currently (for Minecraft 1.11.2) is the following...

If you want to use that mod so much, then why not just get the one that is for 1.11.2.

It seems to be missing the function that tells it what texture to give the model, so how does it even work in Eclipse?

This looks like a great vanilla expansion mod! There are others out there, but this one is currently the only one I know of that adds new mobs.

This looks like a good mod. I have seen that many people still enjoy playing Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 with some mods similar to this one installed.

Ok, I have never modded Minecraft 1.2.5 ( I started with 1.7.2), so I do not know what you mean by easier. But I guess you have a point.
