I am sure you already know that it's really annoyingly time-consuming and boring to collect ender pearls.
On a given night I never see an enderman wandering around outside, and this is in a wide open desert biome. When I do see one and kill it...... oh, no pearl this time either.
Oh hey, well we finally got one or two pearls, and found a nether fortress with blazes So let's go find the portal.
Ooops, that eye of ender disappeared when you used it. That one too. Too bad. Time to wait through another 20 or so nights to get a few more pearls.
Is it supposed to take you literally months of real time, to find enough pearls to reach The End?
This game is "fun" in how the learning curve is basically straight up, and probably logarithmic too at the same time.
Like all other mobs, there is a way. I personally have not tried it, but it can be done. Just don't look at them, or the will teleport out of your mob grinder/trap thing and murder you O_O.
Check out this video:
It seems you do need to be in the 'End' however for this to work. (Not sure on this, it probably would work above ground...just may not be as efficient; as it would spawn other mobs.)
I guess I should answer the question now that I know it is for sure 1.3.
Honestly, yes, I think it will help, a lot. I plan on rigging my whole place with tripwires. I will know of one secret underground entrance, this way, all mobs will DIE.
However, I honestly feel that Mojang should do a complete overhaul of the textures...I know this would be a lot of work; and that there are already texture packs. But I feel they need to...re-think some of their textures.
Of course, then it wouldn't seem like Minecraft if you had good textures
I honestly would enjoy a high 'tundra/alps' type landscape. Not just a snowy biome. But mountain spires, shooting up, covered in snow. And these mountains would be mostly rock. Along with this, the partially flat land there would be would be very high up, compared to the other biomes. Of course, it would need to have a smooth transition from one biome to the other. And, to go with this, I think trolls need to be added.
I looked on the wiki and Googled a few times and didn't find an answer. As of 12w21b you can obtain this armor from villagers in survival and I was wondering how good it actually is. If this wasn't the right forum I apologize
"Chain armor has the same durability as iron armor, but provides only slightly more protection than gold armor."
Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about Minecraft. I personally really like were it is going. However, I want the feeling of terror (in hard mode). So, I was thinking, and don't get me started with Herobrine, but, if something LIKE him could be implemented it would be terribly fun. Not saying it is Herobrine, but just another character, or group of characters, that seek to hunt the players. Not like Monsters, where they attack when you get close; but as you live you know, they are breathing down your neck, and that you need to be ready to fight for your life whenever needed. I think it would add some much needed thrill to the Hard difficulty.

What a conundrum.

From wiki; first paragraph.

Yeah, get Optifine. I ran MC at 5 FPS constant, then after Optifine I get 100 + fps.

@Carzmoviefan
Minicraft is a game made by Notch, which is a free top-down representation of Minecraft.

I thought: "What a crappy looking game, I'll never buy it."
Of course...I ended up buying it because I was bored, and now it is one of my favorite games.

Yeah, they would need to be balanced somehow. And I think they would only be enabled, or have the man-hunting ability, in Hard mode.
