Yeah. Actually, I don't really envy you. You are in a tough spot, because this rewrite is removing the old mod player base (people who liked OP things because they were fun) in favor of a new mod player base (people mostly playing on servers, focusing on balance). I see and understand your conscious decision, but it's no surprise to me it generates such... eh, friction. The new mod and new mechanics are clearly well-thought and much work was put into it, and it shows.
I actually understand the motivation of both sides of the argument. I played EE2 and yes, I can see why it was banned on many servers, while fun in single player. New EE3 is taking an entirely different direction and I wish only the best for it Just remember all people, those who criticize are not "whiners", but the old player base, made obsolete.
I agree. But the manner in which people voice opinions matter.
Also, I suspect that many of the 'old playerbase' will find that EE3 can still do everything that want and like, just not with one single block anymore. Or perhaps still with one block. Pahimar hasn't shown all his cards yet.
