I must have done something wrong with setup. I added the mod to my server and deopped the players and set that they could do tp commands. The commands went through and all seemed well until I walked near another player, and it crashed my client. Here is the error log:

I am using the 1.7.10 version on a modded server. Any help would be appreciated as I would love to use this mod on my server.
Quick feature request, would it be possible to add a command (like /techbrew waypoint add|remove|update) to your mod?
The idea behind the request is to be able to use your map in an adventure map and to be able at key points to be able to add a waypoint for a player and maybe even remove it once it is reached.
We will be adding waypoint sharing in some form soon!
Yea, it looks like the issue is with 1.0.1, your tests with 1.0.2 shows only one ID is being passed to the client. The log for 1.0.1 it is 2 separate IDs.
I have a few things to work on for the next release, Hopefully near the end of the week.
Okay so I might have a weird question and hope someone can help me out.
I started up a server using the Crackpack Mod Pack with a friend and we had a couple issues getting the modpack to download and install the mod, so we decided to do it manually and just drop the Server File on the Server and place the mod by itself in the client mod folder.
I have had a few issues getting the client side to work correctly. It runs fine and I can access the configs for the client side without an issue. While in game the map works amazingly well and I have no issue with waypoints or anything else.
That is until I die or happen to go to another dimension ex:Nether.
Sometimes when I come back it is almost like I am in another instance of the Journey Map mod running, my maps will all be missing and if I try to set up any waypoints I realize that all of my old waypoints are gone.
So I started doing some trouble shooting on my own, I went into the config on the client and in mp folder I removed all of the instances that it had and since I have only actually been on 1 server so far it was actually showing 3 different instances.
Then with a perfectly blank mp folder I connected to my friends server, and I went from this
to this afterward
As you can probably guess but on my client I named the connection Shawn Server. I am wondering if I am having an issue with UID system on the server end. The only issue is that I do not have direct access to edit the server config file but if anyone has any advice on how to possibly resolve the issue I could let him know.
Thank you so much for any advice or help.
Can you get your client log? Pastebin it or dropbox the text file.
I am guessing your sever admin either A: Changed the UUID on you, or B: Needs to update to JourneyMapServer 1.0.2
Oh. I used "dirtyjoe" like Banandana suggested on page 705. Would you like for me to send you a link to the modified jar in a PM? Also, would you please remove the offending link from your previous reply? The file has been taken down.
better yet, if you don't know what you're doing don't do it. You are wasting Reika's time when he could be working on v3 or spending time with his family.
I updated to version 1.8. If anyone runs a 1.8 server, please report any bugs.
I have found a couple issues with the 1.7.10 version. It has been reported that ESM is not compatible with cauldron currently. I will look into this issue.
VoxelMap can do multiworld waypoints if and only if the server is running the VoxelModpackPlugin and has its regions.xml file defined with each world's hash. Similar solution to yours (a server side mod). Wouldn't mind adding support for yours too!
I fully agree that a general purpose vanilla Minecraft solution for this would be great. Like you say, one needn't be concerned about globally unique IDs: I'd be fine with having serverAddress+worldID be unique. So mc.address.com:1 would be distinct from mc.anotheraddress.com:1 would be distinct from mc.anotheraddress.com:2
Come to the #journeymap channel in IRC and we can talk about what you need to add to VoxelMap to support our WorldID system.
I could maybe do something like that. That is something I could find useful too, there currently is the /playerinfo <playername> it will tell you when that user last logged in. But yea, that command should be easy enough.
Hello, my World seems to crash randomly when I change dimension (a MystCraft Dimension and the Nether). Mods installed: DragonAPI, RotaryCraft, ReactorCraft, ElectriCraft, GeoStrata, Chromaticraft (all v2) and around 100 other Mods.

The changelog is on the curse page http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/225341-journeymap-server
go to files, and click the file. It will have the changes in there. You can go through the archived versions if you want older change logs.

yes, someone on the previous page described a way to do it, I did it a different way. The code is Open Source so it is a pretty simple solution.

Getting a similar crash when moving through my world.
Looks like you need a null check here.
