Um. You guys got hacked. My server is completely gone. All folders are empty. your website takes me to the litlles petshop theme song. Garbage. I shouldve backed up my world. Thank god i have my custom made plugins still in eclipse. God this sucks.

I Was hoping for something that was a but more minecraft optimised i guess, like higher ram to cpu ratio than what they offer. minecraft loves to hog ram, Even thou cpu is still important. but ive been looking forever for digitalocean but ram optimized..
I am looking for a hosting service somewhat similar to amazon ec2, where you can create server instances, and pay a few cents for every hour you have it active. I'd also like for the service to have OpenStack/similar API support so I can create instances automagically based on my servers needs.
Price range:
Id be willing to pay up to $0.0083/h per GB of ram (which works out to ~$6.00 for a full month of running).
^ The problem with it: I've heard it requires SMS verification (which I'm not too fond of) and that for a lot of people it just doesn't work., I've also seen a few people on their forums complaining that they're getting random calls from them, which isn't something I'd want.

Dear server hosting companies: Please Do not post anything here if you're priced monthly, that's not the point of this thread, if I wanted that I'd look at the other threads.
I've recently been wondering how hosting companies work with threads, etc,, so as a normal human being that I am, I do a few google searches, and I just don't get the answer I'm looking for.
So, me being me, I decided why not ask on the Minecraft forums, for a future reference for anyone else who happens to have any of the following questions, if you know the answer to any or all of these, please take the 3 minutes out of your day and answer:
lets say i get a server with a 4-core, 4 thread cpu and i want to create Speuce's amazing server host, would that mean i'd be able to host only 4 servers on that specific node? or can 2 or more server instances run on a single thread..
What if my 4 core cpu was hyperthreaded, say i have 8 threads from 4 cores.. would each thread provide only half the power that 1 non hyperthreaded cpu thread would? (probably coulda found that one on google if i looked hard enough)
If you can run as many servers as you please on one thread, which would make it run slower? running 4 smaller servers with 5 people each, or running one bigger server with 20 people (assuming theyre doing regular dirt mining etc.) i'd guess that the 4 servers on 1 thread would hurt it more, but, you never know!
I've always kinda wanted something like this. but, alas, i want a custom coded server, and havent really taken the time to make it. Like i know nms and bukkit coding, just too lazy to do much with it XD
