Why should you be staff?: i would like to join you guys cause i want to beable to help people i can provide 24/7 support for them like all day and all week support for everyone i would anwser all there questions and help them in any way i can.I would love to have the opportunity to build a greater server suitable for all types of players and I think this is my chance to do so. I will not live down to expectations and promises and I hope to pass them on our way to the top. I know that I can help you and the rest of the staff make this a greater server, I just need you to give me the chance to do it. You will find me as a great fellow staff. can someone help me i portforwarded my router i have a static ip and everything is good my router lets it through like routers firewall and that if i check if my ports open on a port checker tool when my servers up it says its open then i look at it on the server list says cant reach server i try joining it says connecting to server...
connection timed out can someone just help me i really need it when i use to have Verizon this worked i had a server anyone could join but with this stupid xfinity bullcrap it wont work can u not make a server with xfinity or what just help me!!!!
does anyone know how to portforward a xfinity router i have tried it dont work at all i need to do this in order to get my server running can someone tell me how to or send me a link to a guide to for xfinity
If you took "too long to login" it could be a network lag problem, but connection timed out is also just a fancy way of saying "Took Too Long" it could be lag on your end, or it could be the server, if the server did not terminate the old connection, you are sort of still connected, exit Minecraft and wait a few minutes, then login to Minecraft and try connecting again.
If the mapping is correct, the port is open, then the server may not be listening on all addresses. Other than that... Could be a more indepth problem... or maybe you have the wrong external ip address?
Okay, so your local network has a static IP address linking to your server computers (wireless/wired) MAC ID, and you have port forwarded 25565 to that address, sounds like either your firewall is preventing access, or Minecraft is not listening on the correct address.
my firewall on my pc or router i run my server just fine when i check on a portchecker tool it says my port is opened and nothing is blocking it
i use bukkit and that i have xfinity as my router portforward right i have a static ip and i use my ipv4 address on the ip area in the port forward section and then i tried connecting through my external ip and i have the server up and it says cant reach server if i try connecting through my ipv4 address i can join but no else can i just asked my friend to join no one else he cant connect to either i havent messed with the server prop and idk what to do can someone just help i went under connected devices and set my pc from dchp or whatever to static ip and my adress is the same as the one i portforwared to idk what the problem is can someone help im also useing java 7
