I know this post is a year old, but if anyone that has played Minecraft for a very long time & knows what they r doing.. happens to pop on here would u please mind answering A LOT of questions for me about survival mode? I just recently switched to it & I am having mega issues, especially when it comes to seeds...( oh & for xbox 360 ).Thank you in advance. ( If someone does see this that has mega experience& a TONI of patience, after I know u r cool I would like to give u my email & (if ur cool , lol) maybe text. Saying I am new is almost an understatement..( I don't want to bombard this page with all my questions.. sigh, really hope someone w/ exp see this.

When it comes to seeds there's a lot of different maps you can generate. No one knows any pattern in which 4J uses in order to generate said map. At least I myself haven't come across any pattern. I like to call myself a Seed Hunter. I have my theories in which a map is going to possibly come out, but your nest bet when it comes to seed hunting is to try it yourself. I can give you ideas for different seeds to try. It's up to you for whatever you're looking for. Xbox One and 360 maps don't coincide with each other being exactly the same plus maps change with each new Tile Update.

    Thanks!!!!

posted a message on I need a seed with lots of villages and floating islands for TU 35+ (possibly village on a floating island if possible)

    Seed: Whoa!

Make sure to use exclamation point and capitalize the W. All villages are along the north side of the map.. i believe i counted 8 in all. A few floating islands. No village on floating island though.

I've heard from a friend that the seed: w is an all biome seed... I've yet to check it out personally, but it's worth a shot... also try the same seed but a capital W instead.

posted a message on Interesting survival mini game

Alright so there's 4 corners spaced fairly far apart and a central location with the winning chest... each corner base will start off with 2 chests that has an iron sword, a wooden sword, 2 sets of matching colored leather armour and some rotten flesh. The entire game is based under ground and there are a decent amount of zombie spawners (mainly for food). All mineshafts lead to central point where the winning chest is... all mineshafts eventually intersect with each other via tunneling systems the closer you get to the center. You only survive on rotten flesh but while going through the map there will be random chests that contain better weapons and slightly better armour. Once a team member reaches the winning chest the game is over.

I'm sure there's a crap ton of work that would go into creating said maps, bur I'm down to help create them and also game!

    Let me know!

posted a message on Fun seedrosss to try out

If you're looking for some fun seeds to try out for survival and even creative I've come to realize lower numbered seeds are really fun to work with... i.e. 32, 33, 34

    Seed: 32

If you've been looking for some good size mountains with oceans and islands this one is fairly nice, plus in the southwest corner of the map is a nice size mountain that's got a very nice hollowed out inside for the most part... I see this seed to be great for creative to create an awesome mountain castle.

    Location: X: 236, Y: 84, Z: 236

    Let me know.

    Seed: 33

I find this seed to be a GREAT Survival seed. Right by your spawn point is an entrance to a mineshaft. If you follow that down and keep staying forward and heading down you'll come to a ravine. There's good mining here, but that's nothing compared to the tunnel that breaks off of that ravine. I've found probably the coolest ravine(s) ever (smite me if I'm wrong here). There's two ravines that intersect with each other creating an "X" ravine. I haven't tried anything survival with this world yet, but it's my next multiplayer survival I'm going to start.

The rest of the map is filled with good forests and some desert. I believe (but don't hold me to this) that there's a village or two, and/or a desert temple. (with these three seeds I haven't come across much for villages, temples, monuments, witch huts, etc.

    Location for best viewing of the "X" ravine is: X: 66, Y: 34, Z:200

    Let me know.

    Seed: 34

I just checked this seed out, and I have to say that this is an all around gaming mode style map... Survival, Creative, Adventure. The map shows nothing but dense forests, and a ton of mountains. There's a few spots of water around also, just like a few lakes, but that's about it. The thing that gets me excited about this seed is the ravine that goes right into the front of a mountain. PLEASE somebody build something epic here and send me an invite so I can come check it out! It's like the Mountain's Mouth of Madness! I am in love with this seed also, and do plan on working on this one in Creative due to the mountain.

    Location of said Mouth of Madness: X: 322, Y: 75, Z: -47

    Let me know

Hit me back with some feedback here, I'm really intrigued to know what everyone thinks. I'm a seed hunter for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but I mainly stick to 360.

    Thank you, and stay frosty!!!!

The next seed I'm trying out is the "2names" part of the quote.

    Seed: 2names

    Spawn Point location: X: -70, Y: 73, Z 263

Directly to the Southeast of the Spawn Point is a nice size village.

    Village location: X: -7, Y: 71, Z: 304

The villagers have some decent trades, and the blacksmith's chest has:

1 Iron Sword, 1 Iron Helmet, 1 Iron Pickaxe, 1 Saddle

This village contains 7 farm boxes which consist of: wheat (of course), and potatoes.

    Second Village is located at: X: 137, Y: 65, Z: -150

There's no Blacksmith house here, But there are also some good trades plus there are also 7 farm boxes which contain: Carrots, Potatoes, and Wheat.

I did not locate any Monuments on this seed.

I did not locate any Temples on this seed.

End Portal is very near the Spawn Point, but it's very far down.

    End Portal location: X: 29, Y: 19, Z: 219

The best possible way to get to the Strong Hold and End Portal is to go slightly North East of the Spawn Point and inbetween The Birtch Trees and the Dark Oak Trees is an opening that will lead you towards the End Portal, which sits inside of a ravine.

    Nether Portal takes to you location: X: 124, Y: 48, Z: -85

once you enter the Nether if you head to your right before you reach the Nether Quartz Ore blocks, up and to your right is a tunnel that leads around to an opening that drops down to the bottom lava floor, and if you look straight ahead you'll be able to see a Nether Brick pillar that leads to the Nether Fortress. The best way to enter the fortress, is at the end of the tunnel before you drop down to the lava floor of the Nether, if you tunnel your way through the Netherack you will eventually find the fortress without too much hassle.

I've only located 2 chests within the fortress:

    1. 3 Gold Ingots, 1 Saddle, 1 Diamond Horse Armor, 1 Gold Horse Armor

    2. 1 Gold Sword, 1 Saddle, 1 Gold Ingot

I've also located only 2 spawners, both of which are Blaze Spawners, and they're located pretty much right next to one another.

posted a message on Xbox 360 Seeds

I'm a huge fan of searching for seeds via console Minecraft. I have noticed that if you read the sayings that are in yellow on the main menu before starting a new game, you can use some of the keywords or the whole saying(s) as a new seed. A few awesome ones I have found and I will make breakoffs from this thread to post my finding. If anyone would like to help me with locating: Strongholds, Villages, Monuments, End Portal, Nether Fortress(es), Doubled Villages, Spawners etc. I am all for the help. So here comes my first seed of many for Crafters to check out.

Phrase on main menu: "Map11 has 2names"

    Seed: Map11

Spawn location is at: X: 244, Y:68, Z:252 You spawn in the south east corner of the map. In the upper center portion of the map is a very large land mass of snow biome.

There's no villages that I've found, unless I've missed them.

There are no ocean monuments, unless I've missed them.

There are no temples, unless I've missed them.

I didn't have to use any eye of ender to find the end portal, which is located at: X:-41, Y:38, Z:27

The quickest way to get to the end portal is through a large opening at the southern most tip of the snow biome at: X:-23, Y:63, Z:-22

(Yes, it's that close) to the entrance of the mineshaft and very close to the spawnpoint and almost directly in the center of the map.

As for Diamonds, I haven't searched yet, but if anyone would like to search for as many as possible and share, that would be awesome. I myself am going to search for more seeds.

This seed seems like it might be a bit of a challenge. Even though there aren't any villages nearby, there is the stronghold that is is extremely close to spawn and of course there's plenty of chests throughout it as well that can help aid. The way to the end portal is also smack dab in the middle of a ravine... Lordy lordy how I LOVE ravines!

    Take care, and stay frosty!
