Dec 15, 2012mremodrulez posted a message on Mists of Pandaria Build Contest Results!Honestly, the panda is great, but I don't think it should've won. No, I couldn't have done it, but the submission by ScottHughes and all the detail in the temple, and the cliff. I don't actually think the winner should've won!Posted in: News

Skype Pm for my skype details,
Will you take this position seriously? As a previous owner of several gaming networks, I understand the importance of having someone reliable, and efficient to manage the server effectively while you're not present. Managing a network is no easy task, so I can provide all my expertise in running practically all aspects of a server, including Staff Management, Plugin Management and Financial management. Being a player, and previously a worker in several minecraft hosting companies, I recognise all aspects of the server, and can manage and deal with nearly every situation. Managing an entire network is no easy task, but I intend to help to the fullest of my abilities.
Do you understand that this position is to be taken extremely High? A network manager has an important, at times stressful job. It's noting that I'm not used to, and it is of the upmost importance that it is done right.
Previous experience
I've owned and operated a number of different servers, forums and companies.
Starboundonline.net A wiki for the starbound game currently in open development. Project was scrapped after I had to study for exams but it worked pretty well.
Rpgmc.net A minecraft roleplaying server.
Combat-mc.net A minecraft military server, with cod zombies and kitpvp.
Castlesiege A hub server with custom gamemodes and factions.
As well as this I've moderated a few forums and moderated on multiple games other then minecraft.
I've also worked for a number of hosting companies, as sales rep and tech support. While at times challenging or frustrating, it helped be tone my abilities and gave me a lot of experience by troubleshooting problems.
I've worked at hostvenom.com and minecraftserverdeals.com
Why do you want this position? I enjoy developing servers and communities and watching them grow. Creating fun, respectful environments in which all types of people can enjoy. I believe, that through teamwork we can engineer a great inviting network. Through my experience and skills I believe I can contribute to the team and the process. I could potentially be a very valuable member to the cluster network.
Do you speak fluent English I speak fluent, proper english , and though it may seem to be irrelevant I speak fluent french as well.
What are your computer and minecraft skills I've got a basic knowledge on coding for Java, I'm fluent in html and have created multiple good quality websites. I can develop, customise and configure plugins to suit the needs of the server, when it comes to landscaping on a large scale I'm familiar with programs such as world paint to create suitable arenas and/or areas. I can do work as a graphic's designer, and use industry standard tools to create my work (Photoshop, illustrator and flash). I'm fully capable of using any minecraft panel or software to achieve anything necessary for the development of the server. Building wise you might say I have "unique" tastes, but I'm pretty good, and usually my building projects turn out okay.
How will you earn this position I intend to earn this position by gaining the trust of the members and yourself, by giving everything I have to offer to the development of the server.
What can you bring to the table, how will you make our network better? I will make this network better, by putting in lots of work in all the fields and aspects of server development. I'll be able to introduce new ideas, new concepts, with realistic standards and ways to reach our goals. I can develop the server while you may not be present, and I can help co-ordinate the server's staff to ensure maximum efficiency and quality is put into the server.
Describe your personality I'm typically easy going, and friendly, especially when I've come to know the person I'm talking to. I enjoy having a laugh, but when someone threatens another player or cheats on the server, I'm able to react quickly, and I've also got the ability to ignore someone when they're being particularly "ignorant" (For example, player says he's from planet minecraft, and he wants mod to test out the server). I'm pretty relaxed and I tend to have a good time and get along with people regardless of the game I'm playing.
PS : If it's required I might be able to get a ~2-4 gb server for the network if it's required.
Thanks, mremo

Will you take this position seriously? Being a previous owner and director of several server networks and wikis, I understand the importance that all goes well, that things must be taken seriously, and that this position causes stress. However I enjoy creating servers, with all the potential, and possibility. As I've previously worked in relatively large teams and groups, I've had to co-ordinate projects, team members, and various aspects of server development I'm fully prepared of any challenges that I or the team shall face.
Do you understand that this position is to be taken highly? Many aspects of server development really on management and team skills. It's not always easy, but it's imperative to the progress of the server, and is a very fragile position.
Previous experience
I've owned a number of servers and networks, here's a short list of references :
Combat-mc.net
Starboundonline.net (Used to be a wiki/hub for starbound)
theminecraftspaceproject
I've owned and managed all of these, and on top of that I've done administrating and moderating off and on.
Something that you may find more interesting is that I've worked for numerous hosting companies, managing customer support, taking complaints and troubleshooting all sorts of problems.
minecraftserverdeals.com and hostvenom.com
Why do you want this position? I've always loved creating and engineering servers, creating a great friendly environment with lots of things to do. I feel like I can make a great team member and that I can speed up the development process of this server.
Do you speak fluently? Not only do I speak fluent english, but I speak fluent french, and I'm learning italian.
What are your computer and or Minecraft skills? Being an owner of multiple servers and also working for numerous hosting companies, I'm very skilled in the configuration of plugins and permissions. I'm also able to troubleshoot most problems.
How will you earn this position? I intend, if I get the position, to fully fill out all requirements and quotas, manage the network and coordinate the staff. Truly earning a position involves earning trust, and I fully intend to do that
How will you ensure the network's success? I solely cannot guarantee the success of the network, building a good server requires a ready, capable team, because building a server is a team effort, advertising, co-ordinating and configuring the server, I can do.
What can you bring to the table, how will you make our network better? I can offer all of my server expertise, skills, and previous experience to make this server great. Eventually I might be able to get a small server to help development.
Salutations, mremo
