    It's not a mod; it's an adventure map. Open the .rar and there should be three files inside. Take the one called "Resident Evil: Remake" and place it into .minecraft/saves. And then it should work!

    I plan to begin building Resident Evil 4 on July 1st when 1.6 officially comes out. Problem is, I don't know texture packs well enough to pick one that would fit well with all the settings involved. if you have a suggestion, please post here, message, or email me so we can discuss.

    Sorry, if this is the wrong place for this. I just figured this would be the best place to get this kind of information.

    Since I've finished building RE1 as an adventure map, I'm planning on building RE4 next. I'm not good at creating texture packs, and I don't know a wide variety of the ones already made. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which might be the best fit for this type of build? It may be tough, because it has to accommodate the village, castle, and industrial settings. Thanks!

    I definitely am considering doing 2 next. It'll be quite a challenge building up the city around it, so whether or not I do it will depend on how well this map does.

    Story

    You are a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team sent out to investigate the disappearance of Bravo Team in the Arklay Mountains. As you come across Bravo Team's downed helicopter, a pack of dogs attack you. You take cover in the nearest building, the mysterious Spencer Mansion.

    Features
    • Closely mirrors a typical Jill playthrough.
    • 1-2 players recommended. You can play with more, but supplies will be stretched thin.
    • Themed skins!
    • Layout is as close as possible to the game as I can get.
    • Areas become accessible as you collect the necessary keys.
    • Puzzles based on RE puzzles.
    • Save points and the magical storage chests.
    • Lots of items!
    • No really loading screens every time you open a door!
    • Zombies!
    • Challenge Mode!
    Requirements

    Texture Pack: Sphax PureBDcraft
    If you use Optifine or MCPatcher, please use Connected Textures; it's built with that in mind. If you can't, don't worry. It won't break the map.

    If you play on a server (recommended), make sure it has these settings:
    spawn-animals=false
    pvp=false
    enable-command-block=true

    Render Distance = Tiny
    Brightness = Moody, but if it's too dark, feel free to crank it up until you can see. It's mostly for atmosphere.
    The rest of the rules will be explained in the tutorial.

    And if you have money burning a hole in your pocket, instead of buying a zombie-filled mansion, you have the option of donating a tiny amount to me! It will encourage me to make more (specifically RE2 and/or RE4) and will go towards a better computer that won't overheat so much when I'm on multi-hour building binges. Plus, for a donation of $1 or more, you'll make it on the thank you wall. For $20 or more, I'll give you a personal creative mode tour (or adventure mode playthrough, if you'd prefer. Perhaps both.), explaining how I did things and looking at all the skeletons in the closets. But of course, don't donate if you can't afford to. It's okay; I won't hold it against you.

    I've been working on an adventure map based on the Resident Evil: REmake. While it isn't necessary, I'd like to give players the chance to play as the characters from the game. If I choose yours, you'll get credit everywhere credit given (in the forum postings, .txt file, and end game credit board) and you may get your name on a tomb stone in the cemetery.
