    This is kinda crazy and thinking way above the bar but when i saw the pic i though of a whole almost mech suit, like a very large hollow golem with a portable node (remember seeing that somewhere in the comments), strong personal ward generator, and industrial scale excavation and combat tools. or maybe a completely new body again like a golem that your consciousness could take over and use as a new augmented body. and the way to get to the new body would be something like melting your body down in a special acidic bath of essentia and then when you die your now a floating cloud of energy that can fly around but not interact with the world, then you would go to the new body you previously constructed and infuse with it. (this idea was heavily inspired by thaumic horizons and the mod intangibles)

    i have seen these and used them, they definitely fit the flashy part but because of limitations with the system either the duration, AOE, or dmg is to low to be useful in any really combat situation unless you entangle, silence, and blind the player then rain down a bunch all on that one position. what im in visioning is something like a huge tornado of smoke and fire that pulls things in, doing fire and lightning dmg (because of the friction of the smoke). things that will make it so that the only way your getting out of one of these spells should you be caught in one, even if it's not directed at you, is by a mana shield. it sounds OP but these are lvl 75-100 ars magica users, that requires hours of casting spells and dedication. they deserve to feel AND be powerful. at least that's my opinion

    I have a suggestion, could you add some special components, shapes, or even just some stand alone spells that you get once you get to levels 75-100 that are like super tier spells? for an example a meteor shower that rains down large fireballs in a large area around you doing large amounts of dmg. The general basis of these spells is they are flashy, massive, and do high dmg. just something to give those that really work for the very end tier ars magica and are not disappointed for it.

    iv recently gave myself the task of playing a vanilla survival just to remember and get a feel for why people back it up... i can honestly say i got board in the first few hours of playing "after obtaining a large faction some diamonds for a sword and chest plate and so on. though i can see why some people look at mods and just say no heck iv been there before. when you explain a mod to someone or even show them it can make mods seem like they make everything even more boring and easy and "Destroyed the point of the game. Changed the graphics. Changed you" this is however (usually) not the case mods got a bad reputation for making things easy in the tekkit classic years with EE2 and so on. mods are vary rather difficult and simply add more to minecraft that you can do thus the point of the game. even adding a plugin to a bukkit server is still a "modification" to the game itself.

    minecraft was made to have moddes in it. the point of minecraft it to give the user the ability to make whatever you want and mods just adds more tools materials and variation of blocks to do that and in survive there are mods that make it to easy but you don't have to use them there mods that make you have to drink and not freeze/fry to death. the main purposes of minecraft is to build what you want and where you want weather or not you have to rage a war to control it or trade for the area and have fun doing it. incorporating mods just expand the possibilitys and utilitys to do them

    as i do have a strong care for mods i like a fair and honest pole and i would not have anyone post deleted. thank you fro your opinion on this matter



    and i do agree there are mods that can ruin things for you such as equivalent exchange back in the day of tekkit classic but things like greg tech make doing anything so much more accomplishing and time consuming

    I agree that vanilla is limited to the point of the player if your just building then im sure you can work on vanilla for months working on a town or a large project but even then builders may want to use the extra decal block of say chisel

    however for someone like me i like to play around with tech mods and make a fortified tech lab with laser turrets, force field fences, and so on

    the last Plain vanilla minecraft server i played on was stacked sky high with plugins just to add a few more mechanics.
