You have been convicted. It doesn't matter how or why. You've been sentenced to life in the most notorious prison in the world- Bains Penitentiary. Your days will be spent working the mines and slowly wasting away... However, a new type of currency has been developed within the prison- Behavior Points. Every block you mine you may trade in for a certain amount of BP. Earn enough of this currency and you can buy many items, a prison plot, and even move up in rank to nicer sectors of the prison. Choose the right path, and you will move up in rank. Choose the dark one, and become notorious...

Solitary Confinement of Bains Penitentiary- Located deep underground. Only the worst prisoners will be sent here. Hard labor is done in the obsidian mines. This area is known for illegal activity, but due to the amount of violence Guards tend to avoid it. 1,000 BP is needed to rejoin society in C-Block.

The default rank of convicts- The basic stone quarry and tree farm are available. Sell your loot in the block shops in order to gain BP. Blocks can also be sold in the Player Market, the free market of the prison. Crime and violence are frequent here, as it is the most populous sector.

Your first taste of luxury- congratulations on your dedication. But it doesn't stop here. To continue progressing through the ranks, more BP is needed. Access to two new mines, the Sandstone Quarry and Dirt Yard, will make things easier. More protection is also gained- less pvp-enabled areas allow you to protect your loot. Rent a customizable cell for even more security.

Four new ways to earn BP, permanent cells, and complete non-pvp make this block the best in the prison. Dig in the luxurious Snow Mine, where you'll fill your inventory faster than you can believe. Take your pick to the Mossy Mine or Ender Mine, where you'll collect rare blocks while also making a large profit. Feeling hungry? Use the block's Pig Farm and use or sell the pork. Freedom is only one step away!

Congratulations! After a dismal life behind bars, you've finally been set Free! But the fun doesn't stop here. You are now allowed to enter and exit the prison as you please. The Wilderness has no rules. (Besides server rules) Griefing, stealing, etc. are all allowed.However, prison rules must still be followed when inside the facility. You are also free to join the growing city of Omega, where you'll experience a multitude of fantastic perks. Mine at leisure in the NetherBrick Mine or StoneBrick Mine, the two most profitable mines on the server. Explore the Nether through the only portal on the server. Buy and sell at the Omega Market, which allows access to almost every block in the game. EXP potions and most other types of potions are also available for purchase.

Congratulations on being accepted! You must now prove yourself worthy to become a full guard. If you work hard, a promotion won't be far off. As a staff member, you are now invulnerable to hunger.
Pay: 500 BP/hour
You are now a full-fledged Guard. Patrol the prison and make sure the rules are being enforced. Break fights, kill offenders, and confiscate contraband items. You now have insta-eat and access to Block-B to assist you on the job.

Your trust and loyalty has attained you the prestigious rank of Alpha Guard. Your powers are like that of a moderator; you have the ability to mute, kick, ban, and warp. Your recommendations now mean a lot to newer Guards. Your influence upon server decisions is greatly increased. The only rank left to attain is Warden.
Wardens maintain the server. These users regulate events, glitches, rules, and strive to keep the server at its best.
Use /rankup to pay the required amount and ascend to the next rank.
Your app should show some effort. One-word responses will be skipped.
You should be a strong PVPer. At least know the basics.
You must read the Guard rules.
Get to know Wardens and Guards; good recommendations from them mean a lot.
Know that you may be demoted at any time without warning.
When/if you become a Guard, ask to join the guard faction.

New guards are first set to the "Trainee" rank. A Trainee Guard is upgraded to full guard through a recommendation from an Alpha or Warden. Full Guards are upgraded to Alpha Guard through recommendations from Wardens only.

Guard rules:
Kill anyone that attacks you or another prisoner.
If a prisoner is being attacked but does not fight back, do not kill the victim unless he/she fights.
If a contraband item is seen, order the prisoner to give it over.
If the prisoner does not comply, begin counting down from 5.
After 5 seconds, you may do the following:
PVP Zone: Attack the user
Non-PVP Zone: Jail the user
NO GRUDGES.
If a prisoner kills you, you may not spawn, find him, and revenge kill him.
To attack him, you must wait for the prisoner to attack you again.
Put "Noakii" somewhere in your app or you will be denied.
Non-PVP means a "clean slate" for prisoners
If a prisoner hits you and runs into NON-PVP, you cannot attack them when they leave unless you sucessfully hit them before they entered.
Do not jail users for more than 30 minutes.

This is common when loading large servers. Simply join a single player map, "save and quit," and rejoin Convicted. Using 64-bit Java seems to prevent this.
"There is too much chat spam!"
Set your GUI settings to "small." This will relieve a lot of the spam.
"OMG LAG!"
Though lag could be caused by the large amount of traffic we receive on a given day, it is most likely a problem on your end. Try running optifine and changing your graphic settings to the lowest possible for best performance. 64-bit Java is also recommended.
