This thread is basically about the strangest thing you've seen about minecraft, I'll start off with my discovery:
A baby zombie pigman riding a chicken in the nether!? I guess logic was just tossed out the window. (this was not spawned in either, and it was on a minecraft realms server)
That's a Minecraft glitch. Chicken jockeys spawn, and then the baby zombie despawns, but the chicken stays. It lays eggs which zombies pick up, and when zombies are holding an item they can't despawn. (I'm pretty sure) Result: Huge pit of zombies holding eggs.
Its not a glitch. zombies are supposed to pick up items and hostile mobs are supposed to despawn and chickens are supposed to lay eggs.
This is something I've been meaning to try to sort out because I'd like to use Nether Portals in my current world for traveling as I'd like to use my iron and gold for other things and I have two stacks of obsidian that I would like to use for something useful, giving the effort I put into mining it all. Are there no good tutorials out there? I saw a link to a written explanation someone posted a while ago but it didn't make a lot of sense to me so I didn't put much time into trying to understand it, just told myself I'd sort it out later.
so basically travelling one block in the nether is traveling eight blocks in the overworld. so if you want to go to 6370 10409 then divide both numbers by eight (if its a decimal round it) and go to the divided coordinates in the nether and make a portal there. just to make sure you should probably make the portal at the original coordinates (6370 10409) in the overworld before making it in the nether. So know when you go to the nether and go through the portal at the divided coordinates in the nether you will end up in 6370 10409 in the overworld.[/background]
I think yes. I consider it cheating if you are using any external program to do something with your minecraft world. unless your fixing a corupted world or something.
I have a question and i didn't want to open a new topic, so i think i could use this one. What you guys think, is cheating use Cobblestone generators? (these things with water and lava).
With them make constructions in Survival is really easy, and i'm not sure if this was intended that way or is a trick.
no definetely not it definetely was intended that way. It is not a bug or a glitch or a trick
great map but notenoughitems doesnt seem to install correctly. I open minecraft on forge 1.6.4 and it says that i need to install notenoughitems. This is apparently because waila has installed correctly but notenoughitems hasnt. I put the notenoughitems jar in the mods folder. what do i do?
