Sorry for going silent, I've had little to no time for side projects lately which has sort of halted development. The mod isn't dead there's actually only one bug left to fix before release, I've just had very little time to fix it. Archimedes is still open source and licensed under Apache 2.0, if you know Java and have some spare time to contribute, please contact me whether that be via Skype, email, or IRC.

When it comes to why I chose the eye of ender, I have no idea. But, I responded to what EnderDude said for some clarification. I also had another mob idea which I forgot to mention.
Primorundi:
The Primorundi is. . . well, no one knows. Every time you get close enough to see one, you're blinded. Not only that, but it puts out torches and blankets all lights around it. However, the Primorundi doesn't kill you. When bitten, you become it. You cannot pick up items, you cannot break blocks, and you have have nothing to do except to find yourself. However, the old 'you' is nothing but a skeleton with your items. . . and your soul. To find where you are, you can 'smell,' or have a trail of faint particles from where you are to where 'real you' is. However, be prepared for your old self to put up a fight, as it had been cursed as the Primorundi longer than an eternity. It knows all the tricks. It can guess your every move. However, if you do kill it and get your stuff back, the Primorundi has lost and will die forever. It will no more haunt your world.
But, you can fight it. There are a few ways to stop it from ever getting the chance to haunt you.
1. Stay perfectly still. It cannot tell where you are if you don't move. It will leave eventually. You will know because the noises go away for longer than five seconds. It will try to trick you by pretending to stop, but will eventually go.
2. Place a pumpkin and it will pick it up and turn into a jack-o-lantern However, this will only last five to ten days, and then it will go back to haunting you.
2. Surround yourself (or your base) with netherack and light it. It won't be able to get you because it can't put out the flame. As long as you are in the light of netherack burning, you are fine.
3. When it's in the jack-o-lantern form, surround it with obsidian. It cannot break out, and will be stuck forever.
The Primorundi will try to use all of these tricks against you if you become it, minus the obsidian. So, you try and not let it look in your direction. If you see a pumpkin, turn away, or else, you will be slowly 'dragged' towards it and then 'wake up' at some random location. If you are caught in the sun, you die.
Note, the Primorundi can only haunt you at night, or if you are underground at any time of day. Also, the Primorundi cannot go into the nether, the end, or any water biomes (ocean, river). Also, it makes the noises of all animals.
Sorry if my English is as broken as Evil Knievel's bones, I am getting used to this new keyboard.
There are some problems here. The complete and trivial blinding of any players near the mob is frustrating. Making players compromise their builds to keep the mob away is not so ideal either, and with all these ways to keep it away, it may as well not even be in the game. On the other hand, forcing players to stop what they're doing and follow a trail to get back to their bodies is also more frustrating than fun, especially since there's no reward.
BUT
I really like that little mechanic of finding your way back to your body. It's like a minigame within the larger game of Minecraft. Instead, I propose that the player can encounter a monk of some sorts that gives the player the OPTION of completing this body separation quest with some sort of reward at the end. It feels like a spiritual self-discovery journey. - To post a comment, please login.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but why do you one up developers of other mods that create weapons meant to counter draconic armor. there is barely any alternatives to go head to head with you in terms of late game armors. pvp is hell in certain servers. im not salty. i would just like to understand your design philosophy.

have you considered collaborating with the valkyrien warefare mod developer? im sure you two will get alot done towards creating smoother airship mods that allow you walk on ship? or maybe you guys could develop a movement api.
