Oh boy. This is great.
Making it rarer isn't going to fix the problem either, it's still there.
I have a solution.
What if there was a new dungeon, a dungeon that posed more of a challenge than the classic 'zombie/spider/skeleton dungeon'? That's where the enderman dungeon comes into play. These can spawn in the overworld and in the end. These dungeons are made out of Mossy Endstone (a new block)and Endstone. They are 5 blocks tall, and are 10 blocks by 10 blocks wide. The endermen can't teleport out of the dungeon. There are 4 spawners in here, each when destroyed revealing a chest under them. The chests contain normal items. These ender dungeons are as rare as normal dungeons. They don't spawn in the nether, and in the end are quite common.
The endermen don't drop enderpearls if they spawn from one of the spawners.
Please criticize this idea if you have any criticisms, and thank you for taking the time to read it!
What are the recipes? How do the new things you want work? And, with all this vagueness, how do you even consider mojang adding this when they don't know the vast majority of the details?
Besides the lack of detail, I think this would load a whole new chunk in the redstone community. (see what I did there?)
It would add a new level of efficiency to mob farms, and make upward transportation a little easier (and hopefully less expensive as opposed to using powered minecarts.)
My conclusion: Needs more detail, but has potential.
One last thing: DO NOT HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR MOJANG PUTTING THIS IN THE GAME, YOU WILL BE SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED!
We all know what gold nuggets are. Gold nuggets can drop of off pigmen, and 9 can craft a Gold Ingot. But, what if there were more nuggets? Let's get a little more in depth with this idea.
A gold dagger is crafted by putting 1 gold nugget above a stick. This is how daggers will be crafted with all of the other ore nuggets (except emeralds)
Drop from iron golems, and 50% chance from iron ore to drop 1 nugget. 9 in a crafting table, just like gold nuggets, create an iron ingot, and vice versa (i.e. 1 iron ingot creates 9 iron nuggets)
Diamond nuggets, unlike iron nuggets, only have a 35% chance to drop from diamond ore. Just like before, 9 will create a diamond, and it works in reverse.
Emerald nuggets drop 2-3 from villagers when killed 80% of the time. These have a 35% chance, just like diamond, to drop from its respective ore. Emerald nuggets occasionally pop up in various trades. Emerald nuggets can't be used to create an emerald dagger, since there are no other emerald tools.
I can't make a whole thread about nuggets without putting chicken nuggets in. Put 1 piece of chicken into the crafting table and BEHOLD! 3 POINTLESS NUGGETS! 1 Chicken Nugget heals 1 hunger. 3 can be combined into a normal-sized chicken. Raw Chicken Nuggets can drop from chicken. (min. is 1, max. is 4)
I understand it's possible to bring the egg into the overworld. However, it seems like that wouldn't be something all players know how to do, especially new players. But, if you wanted to (pretending this was by some miracle implemented), I suppose you could do that.
On the other end, for what it's worth to be riding a dragon or wielding a sword dealing 55 damage in vanilla, a more complicated method of obtaining the dragon egg may be ideal, like one of the normal ways of getting it.
BEFORE YOU READ THIS THREAD, I KNOW THAT DINNERBONE HAS ALREADY HINTED TO SOMETHING FOR THE DRAGON EGG! THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION!
HOW TO GET IN THE OVERWORLD
As most of you know, you need to use a torch to get the egg in your inventory. You punch the egg, and then in the over world, 2 blocks under the egg, but not directly under it, place the
The idea here is to use the dragon egg as a trophy (if you couldn't tell from the title). You would craft it by surrounding the egg with gold ingots, creating the Dragon Trophy. No real use besides aesthetic purposes.
I'm working on a modpack. It's very small right now, so you may not want to use it. Check out the thread here:
