posted a message on Crossrails and Changes to Currently Existing Rails! (NEW POLL!)

    New poll:

I've added a lot of content to this thread. The original idea, about 2 months ago, was so tiny. Now, it's huge and expansive! But now, there isn't a ton to add. It will mostly be formatting fixes, minor changes, and very occasionally, a new change to current rail or debated topic. Should I continue updating, or should I leave it and call it finished?

Can somebody add this statement to the main thread? Or at least quote it in the main thread?

posted a message on Dirt is better then Wood
    Quote from DaItsNickPRO»

Ok, lets start. Here are my reasons why dirt is better then wood.

My friend and I were building houses. I built one out of dirt, he did wood. He said mine was crap, I told him, "Well, It was just a joke. I was going to build mine out of wood and cobble. To spice it up!". We then went off and went mining. Later a server griefer came and put fire all around the houses. When we came back, we saw his house go to waste! From then I noticed that dirt is better then wood when building houses. As its easy to get, it doesn't burn down. The negatives are, its easy to explode (like wood), easy to mine (a little big worse then wood), It looks UGLI. And pro players will just say your crap at minecraft. I've tried a survival with a dirt house, it ended out pretty good. So give me your thoughts, which is better dirt or wood?

Sorry, had to correct it. I can't stand when people confuse homophones.

I always build my normal houses out of wood, and my mining bases out of stone materials. I use dirt as a material for the building directly horizontally or vertically, but not making structures like houses and such.

Hi, I'm Reese, otherwise known as TrainGaming. I started playing Minecraft quite some time ago... I originally began playing on my cousins account in mid-2012, but registered my own in early 2013. Since then, I've grown to become a pretty fluent Minecraft player having hosted and managed multiple servers, as well as assist in a few major build projects.

Outside of Minecraft I'm a computer hardware technician, web designer, and high school student (unfortunately)

Well, that's me. Not very exciting, but it'll do!

Welcome to our land outsider! (well, former-outsider. or i should say forumer-outsider!)

Bad puns aside, welcome to the minecraft forums.

posted a message on Dead bush gives fruit which then give seeds
    Quote from Endergirl00»

This is confusing to read. The first thing you state is confusing: "Dead bush have a chance to give dried for new types of bushes" and that there are different types of dead bushes yet they all look the same and are given the same name. You also only have stated dried fruit once, and don't go into much detail about it except you can plant to similar to how Pumpkins and Melons are. You then state "will make the bush branch off so you will have to shear some of it to keep space for other plants" you have never mentioned what is a Bush Branch. What's more is that you say you can obtain the fruit from the Bush Block, which you have not mentioned as well, what on earth is that? Also, you haven't even stated what type of Fruit it is. Then you state "the original block it was planted one will have a special bush block planted over it" I do not understand what this is. The only thing I understood was that you added micromanaging to this plant when placing it in a pot, since you have to manage it with water and shear it daily. Please fix your thread, I cannot read it properly and could only understand a quarter of what you said. Other than that, this is a plant with micromanaging, and if this is one way to obtain fruit from it, I will only stick with general farming.

posted a message on Aggroed endermen actively taking and placing blocks to get to you

It's a small detail, serves no purpose in the game whatsoever, and is simply an all around annoyance. Plus, it was hard for them to code endermen moving blocks naturally, let alone targeting player-made structures.

No support; hard to code, serves no purpose, and is an annoyance.

Howdy. I am likely an old fart compared to the vast majority of people here. My son got me hooked on Minecraft, darn him. I'll be a lurker more than a poster. Mainly looking for tips and ideas, especially with redstone.

    Quote from firebends»

I'm Hailey (or you can just call me firebends w/e). I just turned 16. I started Minecraft on my tablet, then moved onto my kid brother's Xbox, and then onto my computer. I'm still not very good or educated despite having been playing it for a good 2+ years. I'm teaching myself html/css coding, that sort of thing. Idk how active I'll be as I tend to be a lurker but I have been on forums before where I did get p active. (Insert shameless Tumblr promotion.)

I like anime but don't talk to me about it.

Welcome to the minecraft forums! :D

posted a message on The meaning of my dreams.

Point of advice: don't base your entire forum username off a thread.

    On topic:
I honestly just have dreams that depict recent memories in some twisted manner. It's most likely your brain presenting recent experience, knowledge, and thoughts in another form. This is why dreams are believed to have a meaning correlating with real life somehow (i.e. stress, wishes, etc), because that is what exactly what their depiction is; your thoughts and ideas on real life experience and knowledge, in another form.

posted a message on Why is it so hard to grow on youtube
    Quote from Endergirl00»

Actually, I admit to enjoying small audience channels (around 30k to a million), depending on what they do. Because you can see how much effort they put into their videos to please their subscribers. You can even see their personality evolve the more their channel evolves. But once a channel get's famous (like SkydoesMinecrafr) you end up loosing interest and drag yourself away from it.

I actually used to watch his mod reviews. His humor just got worse and worse until I hit the oh-so-magical "unsubscribe" button.
