How did you hear about The Sanctuary SMP community?:
I have been looking to join a whitelisted survival community for a few weeks, none of the previous ones have caught my attention quiet like this one. I found the server here on MinecraftForums.
What is your favorite/preferred base/building style?
I always make a small but elegant starter home, love building this with wood as it is an easy early game resource. I always choose a block pallet with at least 4-6 different types of blocks. My builds vary in style depending on the surrounding environment. I also want to work on a much bigger project however, something like the mega bases on Hermicraft.
What aspect of vanilla gameplay draws you towards SMP?
I love the community aspects, group builds / community projects always makes the survival aspect more enjoyable. Also being able to see other peoples builds and projects is always inspiring. I really only enjoy survival minecraft but it can be boring when playing single player. I've only ever enjoyed vanilla minecraft, love pushing the game to its limitations with automation. I also enjoy the entire building aspect and take pride in what I create.
Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities?
I used to watch all the Mindcrack YouTube series which inspired me to make my own community. Around early 2016 to late 2018 I hosted my own community server, mostly with friends but also made a post much like this one inviting other players. We grew to about 40 members with usually 20-30 active at a time. I've played a few survival worlds since then with my friends but none of the maps really lasted due to everyone becoming inactive, except me. I also currently watch a lot of the HermitCraft YouTubers which made me want to become apart of another community. I miss enjoying and playing survival Minecraft with a dedicated community.
Outside of Minecraft, what kinds of activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
I love sports, I played soccer, basketball, and baseball throughout Highschool and even soccer in college. Music is another passion of mine and I love playing games while listening to some of my favorite artists. I enjoy old rock, 2000's rap, and even a few pop songs. I also enjoy working out and of course playing other video games. Currently I play SMITE, Rocket League, and Valorant. However, I am ready to be dedicated to a Minecraft community.

I'm looking to start my own survival server similar to those. Each player building their own base, but contributing to a community project like a shopping district or nether hub. Servers like these always fascinated me and I would love to start my own. YouTube/Streaming is not required but would be super cool to see. I currently don't post on YouTube or Stream on Twitch (minecraft at least) but I might start doing it depending on how this server goes.
