posted a message on Minecraft Trading Card Game
Like I promised, I'll be talking about my ideas for traps in this game. These ideas can be changed in any way to accommodate any other ideas. That said, lets begin shall we?

The first thing to traps is that they must be assembled. Since all traps in this game are redstone based (some of them do not have redstone components so deal with it) they must be assembled by a Redstone Steve, a Steve with more knowledge on redstone/traps then your average Steve. Traps are completely assembled after a certain number turns. The amount of turns for a trap to be assembled are determined by the complexity of the trap. This is broken down into three categories. The first category for traps is Basic which takes 1-2 turns to assemble. The second category is Intermediate which takes 3-4 turns to assemble. The final category is the Advanced which takes 5+ turns.

Now I'm going to talk about how you play these traps. First lets say you have a unit on the playing field or table or whatever you wanna call it, who needs protection from other attacks. You would place a trap card of any kind in front of your unit like so:

    :Red:

    :Pig:

:Pig: = Unit who needs protection
    :Red: = Trap card

Then you would place your Redstone Steve on top of the Trap card.

    :Red: :Notch:

    :Pig:

    :Notch: = Redstone Steve

Now lets say this is a simple Cactus Trap. It belongs in the Basic category and only takes 1 turn to assemble. After 1 turn is up, your trap is assembled and ready to be used.

This is how that trap is going to work. If the enemy unit attempts to attack your unit, the enemy unit will get caught in the trap and get dealt a certain amount of damage depending on the trap. After the attack the trap card is discarded. If the enemy has a Redstone Steve though, they can use him to disable the trap. Disabling any trap will take 2 turns. During that time, Redstone Steve is prone to attack by any other unit besides the one that the trap is assigned to.

This is all I have to write down for now. I'll edit this post in the future to complete this idea.

posted a message on SMP Servers are Horrible!
    Quote from xMissleStrikex

First off, let me say, this is a rant, and I apologize for ranting. But this is seriously necessary. People who make SMP servers really need to work harder. My main complaints for SMP servers are listed below:

    -Laggy as crap.
    -Horrible Staff
-If it's a small server, and staff play in PVP, they use mods and creative mode items.
-Hackers are always in the games.
-All advantages require donations. No servers should charge money, or even PROVIDE advantages. (I HATE PAY 2 WIN GAMES!)
-Griefed to hell at start for about 3000 blocks. (Lava falls, Water falls, TNT explosions, etc.)
    -Factions. I hate factions.

Now, lets get started into the reasons in more detail. (Like I said, this is a long rant. Sorry!)

    1. Lag. Servers always lag, for no reason. Usually its due to someone causing the lag by having bad connection, dropping too many items, TNT explosion lag, etc. Most of the time though its either the player playing or the owner, and most of the time, its due to the owner doing something stupid, or just having bad connection. If you set up a server, have good internet! Lag will always exist, no matter what.

    2. Horrible Staff. Most servers always provide the little, immature eleven year olds to be admins, and ban people for killing them in PVP, or when they get griefed, they just cry and grief the whole server. Trust me, I've dealt with four servers that had that kind of staff. Also, people can buy ranks to get them to mods, and then they grief the server. Stupid as hell. Then play on a server with mature staff members.

    3. Small servers and staff playing in PVP. Staff should NOT play in PVP, and if they should, they should be turned into a regular player, and not an admin or mod, because they can type in a command to give them the upper advantage and win the fight, or go into creative to get all diamond, or fly up in the air when they have low health. Even if the player is using the best enchantments, and potions, and all kinds of stuff that would guarantee victory, most staff uses cheats. I hate it. Again, play on a server with mature staff members.

    4. Hackers. There is always someone who uses hacks to kill people, grief the server, and cause horrible lag. Enough said. Hackers are going to exist, its the staff's fault for not catching them.

    5. Server Advantages, Donations, and Pay 2 Win Servers. People who pay to win in Minecraft, or in any game, always win, are are douches. Servers always provide people to win, meaning if they donate, or just pay to get stuff with real cash, and makes it so they win every time. That should be completely abolished. I can agree with you here.

    6. Griefed at Start. There is always a part at the start of the server, where PVP becomes avaliable, and it is griefed to hell. Lava falls, TNT explosion holes, no resources, no trees, fire, water falls, water pools, and it is ing retarded. Go to almost any SMP server, you will see it. It just looks disgusting. This somewhat collides with #7.

    7. Factions. They make it so you can't go into people's homes and grief them and take their stuff. That is what SMP is about! Factions take all of the fun away from that! Factions should be used for grouping of friends, and not for claiming land, and making it so you can't steal stuff. You are supposed to HIDE your stuff, not make a faction and claim the land around it so nobody can steal it. Sure, people can claim it so they can have it, but you can't claim their land due to them being too strong of a faction. That's stupid. Tnt Cannons? Wage wars?

There are all of my reasons on why MOST SMP Servers are horrible. Please reply, and if you want, give me a server without these problems! Thanks!
Thats my 2 cents. (in bold)
