Pastello is a simple texture pack. On the surface. Don't be fooled by the casual look: Pastello has a couple of tricks up its sleeve, and it's still retains the quality you'd expect from years of experience in making texture packs.
The bright textures are simple and checked to be seamless, for a smooth experience.
All of this while keeping the original feel of Minecraft in all its beauty through a familiar color palette.
I just wanted to remind you that I wrote a tutorial and attached the correct settings. You can find it here: matteorizzo.com/realistico/tutorial
Read it carefully, thanks! : )
If you want to use another shader pack, that's up to you. Just keep in mind that I can't gurantee the results you see in the screenshots: every shader pack will renders the mapping differently.
Also, some news: I can release a quick update in some days to make the pack compatible up to 1.13.2.
But there's a problem: the current specular maps (the ones that make things shine) don't look very good in Continuum 2.0.2, so I'm also thinking about removing them temporarily (and keeping just the surface details).
Let me know if that would be a problem.
If that's okay, I'll upload the pack by the end of the month. It'll work up to 1.13.2 and will require Continuum 2.0.2.
not sure if ive done something wrong, but I got the full version of your download and running it with sildurs vibrant shaders, yet my game looks nothing like the pictures ? anyone help ??
Edit
Also tried with SEUS v11 and SEUS renewed 1.0, still no good.
From the tutorial: Now, to enable the mapping of Realistico 07, you need the latest version of Continuum: you can find it here.
I just purchased this texture pack and I have the same problem as boss8989898989. Other texture packs with bump mapping like default 3D work tough...hope it will be fixed The texture pack is still pretty but the parallax mapping would be the icing on the cake
Hey matt! I recently saw that you switched from sellfy to gumroad and was wondering if people who purchased on sellfy still get all updates.
Yes, here's how it works:
- updates are sent by email once they're available and are not related to the store used for the purchase
- the actual version can be downloaded through the link sent by email at the time of the purchase
If you lost the email with the link, send me your email address through the support email.
I'll probably need to write a proper FAQ since a lot of those things might be confusing, I get it.
Let me know if there's anything else that's unclear and I'll cover it in the FAQ page : )
Speaking of being able to have a computer that can run it: What is your computer setup Matt? I got a Gtx 970 and a i7 3.5ghz combo and I get powerpoint-esque frame rates (8-12fps) when I run the pack.
For now I have an i7 6700K clocked at 4.4, 32GB DDR4 2400, and a 1080. Water cooled. I'll soon switch to a different setup though.
Anyway, a 970 is no joke for now, you should get great performances! What's your display resolution? Also check your settings.
I'm trying to fix the Help section with some tips for performance optimization, btw.
I don't think buying the Full version is worth it, basically you earn alot on the Lite Version compare to the Full Version. You know some of us can't buy your work because some of us poor, can't afford it because parents won't waste money on things that are not important, or we can't buy it because maybe we might get hacked. So i won't be using this anytime soon at all then since i can't buy it and my parents won't allow me to borrow their cradit card for this
Basically, if you can't afford the pack, you can't afford a computer to run it at all.
Plus, if you really think something is not worth it, why are you even complaining? : )
You can always just stick to the Lite version: it's here for a reason.
That's why the internet is so cool: you have choice. If you don't want to get it, don't get it, it's that easy. Your choice : )
Hi, I bought the texture pack and it doens't work like it should is there another shader other than continuum I can use? By "how it should" it's not as bumby how it should be, it looks like the demo but I know I bought it and I put the one where it says "full" instead of "demo" but it doesn't look like it should
Make sure to set it up like in the tutorial, and make sure to be using the right shaders: matteorizzo.me/realistico/tutorial.

Hello everybody
Just wanted to let you know that Realistico 08 v3 is now available.
You can follow https://twitter.com/itsmatteorizzo to get instant updates on the pack's progress.

I solved the bash script problem. I also solved the specular maps problem. Realistico 08 is now available.
It brings Minecraft 1.13 compatibility and some PBR specular maps.
Happy new year everybody : )

Quick update about the 1.13 compatibility: it'll take some extra time to rename all the blocks, so in the meantime, here's why:
To make the pack compatible with 1.13, I'll need a script to rename the current files to match the new names.
There are some tools out there, but they don't work with texture packs that have extra files in them (the normal and specular maps, in my case).
That means I need a more specific script. A bash script.
I'm trying to write one myself, but if someone already knows (or knows someone who knows) how to write one, please send me an email.

Minecraft + Continuum shaders + 512x textures = high specs = 1000$ or more spent on the machine you need to run the pack.
That said, it's up to you to decide if it's worth buying it or not.
If you don't feel like it's worth the money, you can try making it yourself, just as an experiment: you might find something interesting.

I will release the update at some point, but first I want to take care of some back-end stuff. Sorry for the wait, but it'll (hopefully) be worth it.

Yes, kind of alive. Working on a bigger project before releasing the new version.
