    posted a message on Epic RPG PVE Adventure MAP : [Across The Time] (Vanilla 1.8.4) {+500,000 DOWNLOADS}

    Just finished playing this map, and wow. I found this map looking for a long adventure to do on the side and I fond exactly what I was looking for. This map really captured that sense of childlike wonderment. Basically what I mean is that the sense of adventure was throughout the map. Not sure if I explained that correctly, but hopefully you know what I mean.


    I would also like to comment how how well made this map is. I can tell that there were no cut corners in the aesthetics, redstone, story, everything was top notch. I really loved the spell casting system with the books. It added a new mechanic I'd never seen before. That contributed to the sense of the adventure, I never knew what new loot I would get. Also all of the unique puzzles added so much to the map. Every puzzle was very well made and designed, had a unique twist, and almost all of them were things I'd never seen before.


    While this map is so great in so many ways, there were a lot of things that bothered me. For one thing, there were so many parts of the map that were just frustrating, they added nothing to the map, only made it irritating at some points. For example, in the ocouras place (the sandstone sky place) the area where there were the 3 paths and 2 of them were needed to fix a catapult. In that area there where little sets of blocks that you had to jump across. Every time you wanted to go between them. Things like this frustrated me so much. The path didn't need to be like that, having to jump between all of the little blocks was extremely annoying and in my opinion made the map so much worse.


    Also the map from the start to after the end dungeon was great excluding the sky dungeon. The map was challenging, not frustrating, had the sense of exploration, and really was fun to play. After that and the sky dungeon the map just became unfun. The part where that wither skeleton was invincible and casing you was so dumb. I found myself spawning, running in to try to find the next area, then dieing again. Even through resistance 2 and full diamond armor, he kills you in 3 hits in about 2 seconds, no exaggeration. So much of the map for that reason became unfun and very annoying. And the dragon fight in the sky dungeon was just dumb, no two sides to it, just dumb. Several times in the fight I had died right after spawning. I spawned in, the dragon knocked me off, and that was that. There was no strategy really, it was just hope the dragon stays away from you, because no matter what you did the dragon would just knock you away.


    Anyways, hopefully you get my point, there were so many things in this map that were just frustrating to play, not fun, just irritating. Don't get me wrong, this map is incredible but toward the end I just got so frustrated with how there was little I could do to advance forward. I liked this map a lot, but some things were just bad and unfair in my opinion.

    tl;dr:

    I have bunch of real life stuff going on so I can't work on the map as much as I'd like, also there are two maps that are being created, one is on hold.


    Ive been swamped with school work and other real life things. Sad to say, work on my second map is very slow. I work on it when I can but, I can't see it coming out soon. The map that is currently on the forum was put on hold until minecraft was more stable. Basically I needed a feature that is supposed to work in the game but wasn't at the time. Now that its fixed I could work on that map again, but I have started another intersection map that I am still working on for saying what it is specifically. The first intersection in about 75% complete, that's being generous, and I plan on making the map five intersections. Needless to say, I don't have any maps coming out soon, but I still work on the map frequently.

    HOLY CRAP! I just finished playing this map, an seriously, this is unarguably the best map I have ever played. The amount of dedication and intelligence you had to have had to create this is insane. All of the puzzles were ingenious, every thing was original, the transitions were flawless, every aspect of this map is a 10/10 in my opinion. Seriously, great freaking job, another amazing map from the mind of you.

    posted a message on Is 1.8 Lagging for you? POLL - Let's settle this issue!
    I have been getting very frustrated with this. My game has been hardly playable. If I put my game on peaceful, then the game doesn't lag too much. However, I am getting significant frame rate drops, and performance drops from all other versions I've played, regardless of world type and settings. The same thing has been happening for me in all the 1.8.1 pre's. Minecraft has never lagged more for me since the official 1.8 release came out. Really hope this issue is fixed soon, I'm getting very annoyed.

    I wanted to ask you next.What mcedit filter that you use to create these giant caves, I've looked everywhere and can not find the site.

    To make the huge caves I used MC edit brushes. Then I used the erode brush. If you are familiar with MC edit, just increase the brush size and hollow out areas in a set area of blocks. Hope this helps

    EDIT: Make sure you use an AIR brush when you hollow out the caves

    EDIT: Just played it again, I like the concept and I think it has really good potential. And I would recommend putting the hints in a spoiler tag on the first post so everyone can know what to do. But overall after knowing what to do, I like it.

    Just finished playing. To be perfectly honest I found it rather frustrating. After mining anything out I had to wait for the mining fatigue to wear off, then I had no clue what to do because I had no idea how I was intended to progress. Please put some more instructions (how to get iron, more hints at what happens) on how to start otherwise it is near impossible to play. It is a really neat concept though.

    I looked at the description and say you spoke Portuguese. Here is Google translates version of what I said:
