posted a message on Help with min_engine_version!

I am having trouble using functions. When I try to use a function, it says this:

Function could not be run. You must specify a min_engine_version in the behavior pack's manifest.json.

I went into the manifest.json, but could not find anything correlating to the problem. If you have any idea what to do to fix this, please tell me.

posted a message on How to detect if a player is standing on a specific block without spamming the command

My solution works better on a one-player map, as it will send the message to everyone even if only one player makes it to the checkpoint.

Put a Repeating command block set to Always Active and put this command:

    /execute @a ~ ~ ~ testforblock ~ ~-1 ~ ~ ~-1 ~ gold_block 0

Then, put a Comparator leading away from the command block, and set an Impulse command block on the other side of the Comparator.

In the Impulse command block, put this command:

    /tellraw @a {"text":"Checkpoint!","color":"yellow"}

Again, this will send a message to everyone.

I'm not 100% sure if this will work on Java, but it works on Bedrock.

In the Impulse command block, you can put:

    /execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ gold_block 0 /tellraw @a {"text":"@p Reached a Checkpoint!","color":"yellow"}

If I'm correct, this should display "[Player Name] Reached a Checkpoint!"

I think you mean CommandBlockOutput, without the "Do"

posted a message on How do you give blocks effects? (Bedrock Edition)

In a Repeating command block on Always Active, put the following command:

    /execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ [block name] [block data] effect @p levitation [time] [power]

By the way, I made a video on it mid-2017, but you may not have seen it since it never got very popular.

    Here it is. ;)

posted a message on Custom mob drops using only Command Blocks [Question]

Add-ons are the only way to do this without problems, but if you really want to use command blocks, try this:

Place an impulse command block facing up, and put 3 chain command blocks on Conditional and Always Active on top of that.

Then, put a chest on the chain command block, and put the iron block(s) into the chest.

    In the first command block, type: /clone ~ ~4 ~ ~ ~4 ~ ~ ~5 ~

In the second command block, type: /setblock ~ ~4 ~ air

    In the third command block, type:/execute @e[type=item,name="rotten flesh"] ~ ~ ~ tp @e[type=item,name="block of iron"] ~ ~ ~

    In the last command block, type: /execute @e[type=item,name="block of iron"] ~ ~ ~ kill @e[type=item,name="rotten flesh",r=2]

Now, place a comparator going into the impulse command block

Place a repeating command block on always active, and type: /testfor @e[type=item,name="rotten flesh"]

This will replace rotten flesh, so if you still want rotten flesh, I recommend using add-ons.

*NOTE* If you notice the machine isn't working after a bit, it is because there is a piece of rotten flesh lying around. Find it and pick it up, or use /kill @e[type=item,name="rotten flesh"]

If you have any problems, please reply.

posted a message on Mouse freezing when clicking fast in game

Whenever I'm trying to PvP, clicking fast will free my mouse, and I won't be able to jump. If I'm moving left while trying to hit, I will keep moving left even if I let go of A. This only happens on my laptop. Is there any way that I can fix this?

posted a message on creative mode inventory disappears??

    It doesn't work

I tried /give and only Command blocks appear says dirt is nonexistent

Perhaps you can reset your device. If this doesn't work, I recommend backing up your worlds, resource packs, behavior packs, world templates, etc., and deleting Minecraft. Then, reinstall it and put your worlds back in.

Not for me... Create a Nether portal, go through the Nether portal, then do /tp @p 0 100 0. That's most likely where you have your stuff at.

posted a message on How do I make and install a .mcpack file?

If you already have a resource or behavior made, you just have to follow these simple steps.

If you don't, go to minecraft.net and download a default resource/behavior pack.

Find the resource/behavior pack that you've made, and make sure that it is a .zip file. If not, create a .zip file, put your resource/behavior pack into it, and rename the .zip pack to what you want it to be. Ex. ExplodingArrows.zip

Now, rename your .zip file to a .mcpack file. Ex. ExplodingArrows.zip --> ExplodingArrows.mcpack

After you do that, double click the .mcpack file and it should open Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition.

If it doesn't do this, for some reason, right-click on the file and click Open with. It would bring up programs that you can open the .mcpack with, or ask if you want to download something that can open it. Click Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition, and it should open.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

If you own Minecraft: Pocket Edition, there is a good way that you can make and open .mcpack files. I only know how to do this on iOS, so if you own an Android, I'm sorry.

I recommend downloading an app called Documents 6. It is a great file editor for iOS.

Go to minecraft.net and download a default resource/behavior pack.

It would ask you if you want to open it in Documents. If not, you can tap More.

Once downloaded, edit to your heart's content.

When you are done, tap the three dots on the .zip pack, and tap rename.

Then, rename the .zip to .mcpack. Ex. ExplodingArrows.zip --> ExplodingArrows.mcpack

Then, tap on the .mcpack file, and it will say that you are unable to open it in the app. Tap Try another app.

    Then, tap Minecraft: Pocket Edition.

posted a message on Game won't start after update 1.1.4

I would suggest backing up your worlds, world templates, resource packs, etc., and deleting Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. Then, simply reinstall it. If this doesn't work, you're probably going crazy because it should.

posted a message on Minecraft PE Map Ideas!

You should make an add-on for zombies and other mobs and try to make a zombie survival type of map. You could have to make your way across the map, fight mobs that progressively get more difficult until you make it to an extraction point.

I would save the worlds that you want to keep, delete Minecraft, reinstall it, and then load your worlds back on.
