I would really like a new texture pack. So yesterday I tried to load mcpatcher and ended up with all kinds of new search programs and mal-ware! Took me most of the afternoon to get rid of the "crap" that was installed.

All I want is to have new texture(s) - just one.

Where are the minecraft files located? I can't find anything but a launcher type file. No game files at all.

Any and all help would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I am trying to find Lapis. So I look on wiki and it says something like "found below lvl 31 but mostly between lvl 13-16..." Huh! So where is it = below lvl 31 OR between 13-16?

Then I can't figure out what level I am on = wiki says that you see levels from the Bottom - but I thought that for (example) lvl 13 I would count from sea level?

Can someone please explain this to me? What number should I be looking for when I F3 for co-ords to see what my level is?

Please can someone shed some light on this - I can't read the forum(s) with this problem.

I have looked at a lot of different seeds and am looking for one that spawns close to a desert temple - anyone know of one like this?

When I do "random" I always end up in a jungle and have to hack my way out to find Anything else.

I really want to expand on the desert temple and creat a town OR spawn close to a Desert town.

I keep getting a big black box that covers the top 1/3 of my screen. It appears when I get into reading one of the posts.

Any idea what is causing this or how to get rid of it?

I have created about 10-12 new maps and ever single one is Jungle.

Is there something I can do to get something else? I hate jungle - all the hacking of vines and climbing tree tops.......

Ohhh I did Not sleep! Crap....

I have no mods - in fact I just tried to install mcpatcher so I can get a new texture pac and ended up with a new search or some odd program - no mcpatcher in site.

My frustration is growing lol All I wanted to do was download one texture pack and play the game....

So yesterday I loaded a Seed and wrote down the co-ords of where I wanted to be - of course it was WAY across the world...I started to head in that direction. I ran thru jungles (hacking my way), swam for miles, ran for ever. I even wrote down different co-ords as I went for future reference.

I was almost there! It had taken most of the day. I crashed. When I respawned I was trapped in a wall. Nothing I could do to free myself before I died!! I tried jumping. I tried chopping the wall. DEAD!

Needless to say - I lost everything I had gathered along the way.

About 1/2 way there I had made a bed - with the understanding that a bed now made a new "start" respawn - - didn't work. I had also supplied a chest with items I may need later.

Was there anything else I could have done to re-set my spawn point? Was there anything I could have done to hack my way out of the wall?

I am SOO frustrated!

How can you tell if the cocoa is ripe? Do you need a special tool to harvest?

I will try the gate or iron door and guess I have to decorate around a Red Bed lol. I will also stay away from Flat. Want to try the Large Biome as that is something I have not tried since I returned. I keep getting Jungle and would love a grassy or desert area.....

I just restarted playing Minecraft and so much has changed I am amazed!

I have looked in the forums and wiki and can't find out:

1) How do you make one of the 'houses' yours in a village? Do I just need to remove the door?

2) I found some orange "balls" hanging from some trees = what are these and are they usable? I have knocked them down and nothing goes into inventory. I have tried different tools as well.

3) I tried to make a different color bed - does it only "come" in red? What can I use the different colored wool for (besides armor)?

4) I tried a super flat game and when I tried to dig a mine I got to bedrock in about 5-6 levels and nothing else - is there a way to mine on flat?

It has been ages since I played Minecraft. I just re-read a lot of the info and can't find if there is an Easy Mode option on the Survivor game?

I really liked to search for my supplies and craft things I need - with a SMALL danger of "baddies" to watch our for.

I really don't want to have all of my supplies available in the new Casual (?? I think it is called) but do not want to encounter lots of danger All Of The Time.
