    Hi,

I've been playing with chromaticraft and I'm having problems with the casting complex.

I've had all the other tiers up and running and crafted plenty of things.

The casting table shows 4 diamonds in the top left corner of the gui. Previously it was working with the casting temple, showing 3 of the diamonds unlocked.

I upgraded the table with diamond and glowstone blocks but now the table is only showing the first diamond unlocked. The other three have the red line through them.

I initially thought I hadn't crafted it properly, but the last time I replaced the table, I opened the table and for a split second it showed all 4 diamonds unlocked before reverting back to just one.

If I remove the diamond and glowstone blocks and replace them with gold and redstone, the table reverts to 3 diamonds, but I just can't get the complex to "stick".

Any pointers would be gratefully received.

Do you have the repeaters and rings of crystaline stone and obsidian around the previous structure?

So lets recount no website no dev server no release since the 02 januar this year and you wonder why people arent paying?

You do realize a re-write takes a long time, right? He is also adding features, plus he has a real life [school, family, ect.]. I doubt anyone in their right mind wouldn't take time from modding to attend to real life.

Whats the purpose of the test and is using a calculator allowed?

The question "Which of the following mathematical relationships grows thefastest?" is not exact.

It has diffrent answers for varying values of x.

i think the purpose of being allowed to use a calculator is to make sure you can at least use it properly, if you can't do it in your head or on paper.

Yes, RC update to 7a hid both gold and iron ingot in NEI on my instance, just NEI.

Both the gold an iron ingot show up for me.

Not sure if you're already aware, the v7 DragonAPI download on your site points to the ReactorCraft file instead.

A couple of them are wrong. On the up side geostrata's link points to the dragon api download.

The speed bar on stage 3 is not quite at full which makes me question the power supply. You should hit that thing with an angular transducer and it will tell you whats going on.

But stage 2 has enough power to process. It could be a lack of water.

The mod is awesome, all the gears ticking, running, working, it's hypnotising. But… It's too FREEBIE!! 1 bucket of lava and a bit of iron - and you've got 16MW of power for free, FOREVER. 2 buckets of lava, and you can bake steel, for almost no expenses, for free, FOREVER. Dirt column with a ladder, a few buckets of water, and a few turbines - and you can basically forget about power shortages for a very, very long time. A few ingots, and you get ridiculous amount of power. And again, they will run, for free, FOREVER.

So here we have - HUGE amounts of power, out of nothing, for free, forever, and the only consumable (and easily renewable! too easy.) is lubricant, which is also farmed with no hustle at all, so easy that I can not even call it an expendable resource.

And x5 ore multiplication? (x8 with steel). Are you serious? Like endless power was not OP already…

Toss in a few stacks of iron and a few lava buckets, and you have a closed-loop x5 ore mult, forever, for free. This is just plain ridiculous.

DC engine is a perfect power source: low power, good for start, but for anything decent you have to move on. Wind turbine is ok'ish too, as it takes quite up some space and the power is low enough. But AC & steam engines and especially water turbines - it's just one big fat freebie joy kill.

I think this mod needs some serious rebalancing...

    ...

@Reika, please, is it possible to at least add a config option to...

...make steam engines AND blast furnaces consume coal or lava, like other mods do. Lava HAS TO cool down eventually.

...waterwheels consume much more lubricant, have a durability/life time of about 12-24 real-world hours, be installable only in River biome OR consume huge amounts of water.

…water pump to consume water while also preventing water respawn, preventing endless water supply made by mere of 2 water buckets. With the exception being River and Ocean biomes. Put those condensers to some use!

…reduce resource multiplication from 5 to a maximum of 2,5, while also considerably complicating the process by using multiple devices instead of all-in-one-block magic box.

…implement power losses on gearboxes and other moving parts that are subject to friction.

…implement multiple tiers of lubricant for reducing friction losses.

    ?

This would be really appreciated by all the hardcore/Gregtech players out there… Really.

blast furnaces do consume coal (or coal coke), sand and gun powder. The steam engine is a fairly low power engine. It also takes a bit to get into the Hydrokinetic engines.

I don't know about anyone else, but when i progress through rotarycraft i tend to burn through iron quickly, even with the X5.

My GOD why does the modding community keep slowing down like this?! ITS SO BORING!!!!!!

Most modders do it for fun. Usually equates to that they have other stuff that is more important, like school or a job. Can't really blame them for the slow times.

How are you supposed to generate that much power :o

//Edit: Its about the fact that magnetostatics consume 200k RF

use a reactorcraft reactor and generator

Magical crops + rotarycraft fans were working with the following version configuration when I used it last:

    magicalcrops-1.7.10_0.1.jar

    RotaryCraft 1.7.10 V3d.jar

    DragonAPI 1.7.10 V3d.jar

    Changelog for DragonAPI V4 has

    • DragonAPI: Fixed MagicCrops support

So this is something that has happened recently in DragonAPI/Rotarycraft.

enough people bugged him that he made it support the pay-walled version, instead of the public version.

I cant say for certain but I'm pretty sure you can update the description to say that the video is outdated and missing features, which should be enough.

I would make it a giant annotation too.

Let me rephrase. Has the procedure to make lubricant changed in the latest version of RotaryCraft. I ask because it's my understanding that lubricant is made by grinding canola seeds. Yet NEI shows me that I have to grind canola to make husks then centrifuge the husks to get lubricant. Which way is correct?

Both the grinder and the centrifuge give lubricant. So you could have just the grinder, and have a byproduct. Or you could have a grinder and centrifuge and get more lubricant without a byproduct of husks.

Just wondering, Has anyone managed to prevent the memory leak?

I don't think its possible unless you don't place down engines. It *might* be fixed when Naiten releases the overhaul, whenever that is.
